I've been trying to figure out why this happens for years now and never really could figure out how to word any questions together to get the name of this reaction between water and alcohol. Thank you for this video, it's been very enlightening and I feel relieved now knowing what it's called.
What percent isopropyl alcohol?
I can't recall for certain but believe it was 99%. I recommend experimenting with different ratios. Note that the alcohol evaporates relatively quickly so the ratio will change if you leave it to sit for more than several minutes
@@WillDonaldson Hi.Thank you. I did it and posted on my channel. It was first video ever. It was great fun.
@@billbrown994 Really happy to see the video you posted! Glad it worked for you!
@@WillDonaldson Thank you. I will continue to experiment with different variations.
2:33 is that paper? i thought paper would not be able to retain the pattern.
please help by telling how much oil is required ? please tell d exact ratio of alcohol n water n oil n food color n d ryt sequence of putting all dis in a dish.thankiu.

name of the Bg music?

Isopropyl alcohol and isopropanol are the same thing.
Amazing video! Nice distributions, probably computationally heavy when run on a reaction-diffusion simulator like Ready, but it looks so smooth in this universal calculator we call "reality".
