      Yeah man it's definitely the nicest belt tension tool I've used. And I've used several printable ones and even some of the audio type ones.

    layer change at layer 43 for the pivot ('1.9') part. this has been your youtube engagement comment for the day.

    Great video and nice prints, have you seen much use for such a device on cartesian machines or is this mostly for machines with coupled kinematics?

      Thanks!
      So not as much. But anywhere that you can get enough access to the belts for this to fit in, you could get a measurement. Now idk what numbers they would be.

    btw Great job in building and showing the little nuances, But one thing when tensioning belts the motors should be on. meaning they should be jogged through mainsail/fluidd or menu. It doesnt do well to not have them off

    • @leemerie3d
      @leemerie3d  4 місяці тому

      Thanks! And I hadn't thought about that but I can see how that would be a better idea to keep the motor energized. I really appreciate the tips! 😃

      Those are Rama Idlers! Really nice! But to be honest there are even better ones now called Beefy Front Idlers (BFI) if you want a little more strength. Here is the link to the BFI..

      @@leemerie3d so the BFI stl'S replace the front idlers for the x/y gantry, and the BZI stl's replace the(z) idlers for the (z) drive? Is that correct?

      If your checking the West3D site, they will be back in stock very soon. They get sold out usually fairly quickly every restock. You can also click the black button that says "Notify me when Available" so you will get an email once they get restocked.

      "The friction which tends to prevent stationary surfaces from being set in motion"
      Basically slows down the movement of something like grease does in this design. It would not let the slide "drop" like it needs to, making it not accurate.
