The lifestyle of these celebrities never ceases to amaze me. I grudgingly have to side with Pitt on this. I mean, if I had purchased a "flip" home with my spouse & I put all the time, effort & money to build it to a point it significantly increased the value then they sell it to a complete stranger without my consent nor knowledge, who then tries to TAKE OVER...yeah, that's not gonna work for me.
Did you say that Jolie’s representative abruptly stopped the protracted negotiations on June 15th 2021? Hmmm… Didn’t the Judge rule in their child custody trial in late May? Angelina was suing for full custody and wanted 3 of their minor children to testify and substantiate her accusations of abuse but the Judge rejected that. Pitt wanted 50-50 and was awarded it. In July 2021 Jolie’s attorney filed an appeal and accused the Judge of being biased against her. Hmmm 🤔 Maybe one has nothing to do with the other but the timing is something I thought was worth mentioning for debate.

What she did was shady as hell to put it lightly. Brad offered her full marketplace price for her share because it was more of his passion than hers. She wouldn’t sell. She MUST get his consent before she sells. It’s the law. She didn’t do that and went behind his back and sold it to some Russian STOLI guy. Normally if someone is buying a share of a company, and knowing there’s another co-owner somewhere who hasn’t consented. Then that would be added to the buying price because they would expect litigation. Something is very weird and shady about that whole deal between AJ & STOLI guy. She did this just to be cruel to Brad and it’s such a low blow. This has nothing to do with the Depp/heads trial. They’ve been going back and forth about this since 2016. She keeps saying awful things about him. When she was told by judge that she has to start sharing custody with Brad, she lost it and told off judge. Anything Brad has said about any of this was said in court. She’s proclaims to be this huge “humanitarian”. Put your money where your mouth is….. because she seems to be doing some pretty crappy things because she thinks she can.

Wrong. She applied to the court last July to lift the restraining order in selling joint assets. Their divorce has dragged on for 5 years. She should be able to divorce the man and not be forced to stay in business.

Her accusations of abuse have been disproven by multiple government agencies ... the only 'proof' she had was her kids testimonies which Brad's lawyers blocked b/c of the trauma of it. Just because someone is an addict does not mean they cannot get clean and repair relationships, I fear she has poisoned their children against him. Emily tried to stay unbiased but she said a couple things that led me to believe she thinks Jolie was wrong at this point. That might change but instead of loving the kids more than hating their dad, Jolie is not following those words of wisdom.

Jennifer G is a nice and overly generous woman but her behavior has been in the best interests of her kids in the long term. I think he's trying to hold on to a relationship with his bio kids.
I'll tell you what changed and caused her to back out of selling her shares to Pitt. Brad was going to get 50-50 custody of the kids. And she was not in a agreement with that. In order to invalidate that ruling, she then moved to have the judge removed from the case, siting bias and unethical behavior. She won this argument on a technicality. Now she is trying to remove Dr. Katz, a psychologist who did an evaluation on the Jolie-Pitt kids. An evaluation that was used to determine the said 50-50 custody that Brad was going to rightly win. She is simply going scorched earth on Pitt. There's no two ways about it. And she sells to a Russian Oligarch!

I have been trying to work this out from a financial perspective. If she sells the company, it is not a direct transfer of shares between two entities. However, she is selling the company, which includes all of her company's assets (including her shares in Miravel). They are honestly both right and both wrong with their arguments. It appears she did get rid of her share without consulting him. However, she did it in a way that doesn't appear to violate the terms of their agreement. She seems to have possibly found the loophole in their agreement. Fascinating stuff IMO.
@@lisamora8141 At the very least she broke the spirit of the agreement, because she only purchased a minority stake, and was only granted equal shares because it was a family business. So, she only really could have ethically sold the 40% stake that she had earnestly purchased, not 50%... thus usurping her partner's controlling interest in the company. It's truly ghastly stuff, and it would be disingenuous to gloss over that critical extra 10% controlling stake that Pitt was entitled to, _at a minimum._
There would be sweet justice in this if the Russian oligarch was subject to the recent EU sanctions and his portion of the ownership in the winery was frozen and or seized!
Actually the sanctions just hurt Pitt and the business. If the Russian is a 50/50 partner he can't pump money into the business and yet he remains a full partner because the sanctions are not seizing private property as you seem to think.....just freezing transactions. They were together for quite a while unmarried. If I remember correctly, both of them took the stance that they refused to get married until gay marriage was legalized and they stuck to that for a pretty long time.

I have nothing to contribute, but I'd like to say that I experienced the great joy of drinking a glass of Miraval rosé with a tartine of goat cheese in Provence, and that memory has become the happy place I go to when life is overwhelming.
All of this she has done when supposedly this was a home for their family. From the way Jolie started their divorce (publicly without his knowing, accusing him of a crime (child abuse while drunk) and getting a restraining order, this is on its face an essential Amber Heard move only worse. She thought it would ruin his career. Instead, he has prospered.
I think it’s called Studio because there is a recording studio on the property which just got revived. Artists like Sade have recorded albums there. Brad Pitt is very involved now in making it a studio again.
For years I had a great deal of respect for Angelina Jolie, but that has faded considerably is not altogether disappeared. I don't understand, as someone commented below, why it's being claimed that she had the right to sell her share of the company. She had the right IF Pitt decided not to act on his right of refusal. The only benefit, as usual, will got to the lawyers. I think what she did was despicable. Not only did she stop investing in the company, but it was Pitt who did all the heavy lifting and turned a losing business not only into a multimillion dollar success, but an award winning enterprise. Jolie has demonstrated her lack of regard for business agreements and her marriage vows. She filed for divorce alleging that Pitt had physically abused her and their oldest child while on a flight. The FBI found no evidence of such, so now she's suing the FBI. Implied in her lawsuit is that the FBI is (1) Incompetent (2) Corrupt (3) Starstruck (Has been bribed and that Brad Pitt is also corrupt and, in fact, a criminal. I hope the sale can be undone.

When I first went to Paris in 1973, there was no Rose in France. I saw pink beverages everywhere, so when I ordered a Rose, they looked at me like I was daft. What they were serving was Kir. Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins are still stuck in the house all day under the eye of their mother except to go shopping and eating. I strongly believe once the dust settles and all the kids are 18+ things will change. I don't see her having a normal relationship with these children as they become adults and want to do things on their own accord. She apparently doesn't even talk to her brother anymore after the divorce because she was using him to try to manage the kids and he quit. She stopped talking to her dad again too. Brad is a recovering alcoholic and a terrible wannabe architect but he has maintained relationships for 20,30+ years in his professional and personal life. Angelina doesn't seem to have any real friends, she considers her children her friends.

That story has never been revealed but CPS got involved and Brad couldn’t see the kids unsupervised for a while. But if he was able to keep working at his passion project and give up drinking I don’t see the point of her selling just out of spite. She’s never said anything about why they split but she did say she thought it would be good for them to work together and they made a crappy film I think she acted in and directed and BP acted in it. There is a wonderful book series based on a woman-owned winery in Virginia. The winery was begun by a French woman who married a Virginian and moved to his historic home place. It passed down to her daughter who improved and expanded the vineyards. Filled with history and mystery, murder and mayhem, romance and rejection. Fabulous. A must read with a glass or two of wine. I always respected Jolie’s platform of advocating for women and children but she has been out for blood through the entire divorce and has made it clear by her actions she’ determined to make Pitt’s personal and professional life miserable. Actually a lot of mid-high tier brands of all sector sell to Costco. Just because they sell wholesale doesn’t mean low quality. I mean it’s Costco not Walmart. Companies clamored to get their products in Costco due to their wide reach. The average individual median income of Costco shopper is in the $138K range and Whole Foods is 85K range. So yeah companies want that income bracket customers. Where should the wine be sold? Little boutique wine store? Are big box store with BevMo or wine and more any better? Hmmm interesting concept, as a wine drinker that visits winery often I freaking love Costco’s selection! And so does a lot of Sommelier. It’s really good!

According to the news back then Pitt took his girlfriend to Chateau Miraval on vacations, Jolie got mad and as a revenge sold her part behind his back, that's my theory
Angelina lost their 5 year custody battle May 2021, and after a two month trial, Brad was awarded joint custody of the children giving him much more time with him. And the paperwork makes it clear that the judge felt Angelina was alienating the kids from their father. Angelina filed an appeal based on the fact the judge wasn't objective because he supposedly failed to disclose some sort of prior relationship with the attorneys on another case or something, and got the judge removed which nullified the agreement and sent them back to their 2018 custody agreement. Brad filed an appeal to CA Supreme Court and lost in October 2021. And then in October 2021 she sold her shares in Nouvel / the winery. So now he has to start over to try to get more time with his kids, and she has completely screwed him over with the winery thing. Either she's the greatest mom in the world trying to protect her kids from Brad who she claimed was abusive (CA CPS said he wasn't), or she has been cruelly punishing him for these past five years. This wine lawsuit makes me believe the latter. Not to mention that Brad is supposedly sober now which would likely lessen any potential for supposed abuse as the incident on the plane was him yelling at the kids while drunk. She's just taking his dream away. She's stealing his dream to have the Chateau in France as a vacation home, and one where he can spend decades of family celebrations with his kids there, where he could retire there, where he could enjoy the winemaking business which he loves, and be prevented from enjoying the recording studio that was just opened at the business.
Why would Jolie do this beyond wanting to financially and emotionally harm Brad Pitt? That’s sad and pathetic especially since they share children. That winery could have went to their children. Any respect I had for her has been lost. She has used the kids against him and now something else he loves. She has a whole team of lawyers and she absolutely knows what she was doing. What a bitter, hateful existence.
Especially since Shefler is a somewhat shadowy figure who seems to be pretty ruthless. During the pandemic, he cut the pay of his staff by 30%, even though his liquor company (Stolichnaya vodka, BTW) was very profitable during that period. Seems like Jolie deliberately picked the worst of the worst to mess with Pitt.
My mom passed when I was a teen but she used to have dreams about Angelina Jolie kidnapping my niece and nephews to add them to her family. Lol she had such a celebrity crush on Brad Pitt. She also followed court cases on TV like crazy. I knew about Jon Benet case more than I should've as a little kid but she would've LOVED this channel! I mean, if I had purchased a "flip" home with my spouse & I put all the time, effort & money to build it to a point it significantly increased the value then they sell it to a complete stranger without my consent nor knowledge, who then tries to TAKE OVER...yeah, that's not gonna work for me.
Did you say that Jolie’s representative abruptly stopped the protracted negotiations on June 15th 2021? Hmmm… Didn’t the Judge rule in their child custody trial in late May? Angelina was suing for full custody and wanted 3 of their minor children to testify and substantiate her accusations of abuse but the Judge rejected that. Pitt wanted 50-50 and was awarded it. In July 2021 Jolie’s attorney filed an appeal and accused the Judge of being biased against her. Hmmm 🤔 Maybe one has nothing to do with the other but the timing is something I thought was worth mentioning for debate.

Just because someone is an addict does not mean they cannot get clean and repair relationships, I fear she has poisoned their children against him. Emily tried to stay unbiased but she said a couple things that led me to believe she thinks Jolie was wrong at this point. That might change but instead of loving the kids more than hating their dad, Jolie is not following those words of wisdom.

Jennifer G is a nice and overly generous woman but her behavior has been in the best interests of her kids in the long term. I strongly believe Angelina has convinced the adopted children that Brad doesn't love/care about them. Didn't she leak a false claim about him using a racial slur and not wanting to adopt Pax. I think he's trying to hold on to a relationship with his bio kids.
I'll tell you what changed and caused her to back out of selling her shares to Pitt. Brad was going to get 50-50 custody of the kids. And she was not in a agreement with that. In order to invalidate that ruling, she then moved to have the judge removed from the case, siting bias and unethical behavior. She won this argument on a technicality. Now she is trying to remove Dr. Katz, a psychologist who did an evaluation on the Jolie-Pitt kids. An evaluation that was used to determine the said 50-50 custody that Brad was going to rightly win. She is simply going scorched earth on Pitt. There's no two ways about it. And she sells to a Russian Oligarch!

I have been trying to work this out from a financial perspective. If she sells the company, it is not a direct transfer of shares between two entities. However, she is selling the company, which includes all of her company's assets (including her shares in Miravel).
They are honestly both right and both wrong with their arguments. It appears she did get rid of her share without consulting him. However, she did it in a way that doesn't appear to violate the terms of their agreement. She seems to have possibly found the loophole in their agreement.

From the way Jolie started their divorce (publicly without his knowing, accusing him of a crime (child abuse while drunk) and getting a restraining order, this is on its face an essential Amber Heard move only worse. She thought it would ruin his career. Instead, he has prospered.
What happened in 2019 and 2020 was the custody battle was settled and he won 50% custody of the children. She was suing for 100%.
I think it’s called Studio because there is a recording studio on the property which just got revived. Artists like Sade have recorded albums there. Brad Pitt is very involved now in making it a studio again.
That is why he now wants a clear title to rthe winey.
For years I had a great deal of respect for Angelina Jolie, but that has faded considerably is not altogether disappeared. I don't understand, as someone commented below, why it's being claimed that she had the right to sell her share of the company. She had the right IF Pitt decided not to act on his right of refusal.

Not only did she stop investing in the company, but it was Pitt who did all the heavy lifting and turned a losing business not only into a multimillion dollar success, but an award winning enterprise. Jolie has demonstrated her lack of regard for business agreements and her marriage vows. She filed for divorce alleging that Pitt had physically abused her and their oldest child while on a flight. The FBI found no evidence of such, so now she's suing the FBI. Implied in her lawsuit is that the FBI is (1) Incompetent (2) Corrupt (3) Starstruck (Has been bribed and that Brad Pitt is also corrupt and, in fact, a criminal. I hope the sale can be undone.

Companies clamored to get their products in Costco due to their wide reach. The average individual median income of Costco shopper is in the $138K range and Whole Foods is 85K range. So yeah companies want that income bracket customers. Where should the wine be sold? Little boutique wine store? Are big box store with BevMo or wine and more any better? Hmmm interesting concept, as a wine drinker that visits winery often I freaking love Costco’s selection! And so does a lot of Sommelier. It’s really good!

Angelina lost their 5 year custody battle May 2021, and after a two month trial, Brad was awarded joint custody of the children giving him much more time with him. And the paperwork makes it clear that the judge felt Angelina was alienating the kids from their father.
Angelina filed an appeal based on the fact the judge wasn't objective because he supposedly failed to disclose some sort of prior relationship with the attorneys on another case or something, and got the judge removed which nullified the agreement and sent them back to their 2018 custody agreement.

And then in October 2021 she sold her shares in Nouvel / the winery.
So now he has to start over to try to get more time with his kids, and she has completely screwed him over with the winery thing.
Either she's the greatest mom in the world trying to protect her kids from Brad who she claimed was abusive (CA CPS said he wasn't), or she has been cruelly punishing him for these past five years. This wine lawsuit makes me believe the latter. Not to mention that Brad is supposedly sober now which would likely lessen any potential for supposed abuse as the incident on the plane was him yelling at the kids while drunk.
She's just taking his dream away. She's stealing his dream to have the Chateau in France as a vacation home, and one where he can spend decades of family celebrations with his kids there, where he could retire there, where he could enjoy the winemaking business which he loves, and be prevented from enjoying the recording studio that was just opened at the business.
All I can say with certainty is that these two stayed married a lot longer than I originally expected 😬

Why would Jolie do this beyond wanting to financially and emotionally harm Brad Pitt? That’s sad and pathetic especially since they share children. That winery could have went to their children.
Any respect I had for her has been lost.
She has used the kids against him and now something else he loves.
She has a whole team of lawyers and she absolutely knows what she was doing.
What a bitter, hateful existence.
She is in breach of contract. Not only is he within hi rights to pursue this in court, he would be foolish not to.

During the pandemic, he cut the pay of his staff by 30%, even though his liquor company (Stolichnaya vodka, BTW) was very profitable during that period. My mom passed when I was a teen but she used to have dreams about Angelina Jolie kidnapping my niece and nephews to add them to her family. Lol she had such a celebrity crush on Brad Pitt. She also followed court cases on TV like crazy. I knew about Jon Benet case more than I should've as a little kid but she would've LOVED this channel! Celebrity gossip + court docs is a way to someone's heart for sure!

Angie did not know who or when the shares were sold. She had been trying to sell for several years after Brad's behavior destoryed her winey for her. She asked him to buy her out for two years before she asked her Company to sell her shares and she had Brad's and the Court's permission.DUH!
