Great sugarcane videos! Where did you get the wide tub to catch the water from the container? Thank you for showing the details. Wishing you abundance and radiance!
Thanks for watching the the good vibes! I found them at my hardware store garden section. Menards if you have one around you. Good growing to you as well!
@@lofenoialof5320 They will not die when it gets that low in temp, but they will also not grow. If it gets to 32 expect them to die, unless you can cover them well overnight.
I live in St Louis Mo and was thinking they would be difficult to grow here. Your growing them in Nebraska so there is hope. Where would I look for pieces of sugarcane to start my cane garden?
Definitely hope, our gardening zones look pretty close, I'm 5b and St. Louis looks like its 6a. I originally bought mine off an ebay selling in the spring, now I just replant from my cane each year.
@@hutsadyk Thank you for such a quick response. Never hurts to ask... do you have enough that you may be interested in selling me a few pieces? (2 or 3)
@@billpreiss Yah I would be fine doing that, however not until the spring. If I did it now it would require cutting down plants that are getting mature but not quite there. The new plantings would be small and probably not make it through the winter even indoors.
I've noticed P and K don't really help. I go heavy on N and when I fertilize I use a N heavy liquid fertilizer like Alaska Fish Fertilizer in liquid. I use a fertilizer with P and K maybe once per season. Temps and amount of direct sunlight could have slowed growth as well

Hi there. I enjoy your video. When you say “over winter” does that mean you never chopped or pruned it? I am interested in starting to grow my own in a pot here in Chicago. Looking to learn. Best

When you say overwintering is it indoors or outside ? How cold does it get at winter
Overwinter indoors. Where I live it can get down to -20-30F
