This song is sad man. The way he expresses every single detail makes you feel exactly what he feels. I miss music like this! When lyricist tell you a story make you feel a certian way with the direction of that story... nobody does that nomore
I wouldn’t say no one does this anymore. It is simply not pushed by the algorithms anymore. A lot of super great artists as of late get swept under because of that lol But if you look long enough? You’ll find them haha For an example, check out Daylyt - Davone Campbell. He depicts the time he almost died from a shooting. And you can see the entire event play out in ur head
not many rappers can tell a story and rhyme the entire fuckin song together and paint a picture in our heads like we are actually living it for real like Eminem can. he literally like every verse he rhymed the entire fuckin thing together. so insane I don't think people can even comprehend (myself included) at how hard that is to do and he does it on so many songs of his
More emotional Eminem songs : Beautiful, Beautiful pain, Your'e never over, Difficult (beautifully written), When I'm Gone ( just brilliant), Stronger than I was
@@myname8635 I agree that Difficult is his saddest song ever, but there is also more Emotion in Difficult than in this. Listen closely to difficult, I heard he was crying and high when he was recording it and you can hear it. When he can't finish the word cas awww. Difficult is his most raw and emotional song ever (in my humble opinion)
one of the best songs from em.. helped me through fucked up times. depression aint no joke. it can hit you even if you dont expect anything and then it feels like the entire world becomes grey. you dont enjoy anything, only the negative feelings stay.. so suicide sounds like the logical consequence..
I used to listen to this song in my darkest of times man. It’s like every lyric was coming from my own mind. He was speaking for himself but so many people could relate
Deja vu is another great song. Em losing Proof was so sad. He was his only family...and best friend. It broke my heart. Have you noticed how incredibly LOYAL he is... He always talks about proof and will never forget what Dr Dre has done for him.... I hope he found happiness and is in a good relationship w someone.
It’s more than yin and yang with Em, he has multiple ways to convey a message in a song. Whether it’s serious, funny, emotional, etc.. he has so many levels that’s why he’s the best
Anyone else catch the flow he used at 6:13 ? Mocking bird? Two little beautiful girls. And at 6:27 he said "almost as if to say" going back to the song 'when am gone'. Always catching new things with every listen
Proof was such a good dude. My mom used to bartend at a bar in Detroit that he went to and he always liked her because she didn’t listen to rap so she had no idea who he was so she treated him just like anyone else and he loved that and said that was the worst part about being famous. He’d always stay til closing and they’d sit and talk for a few after the bar closed just to sit and talk as friends because he didn’t get a chance to do that often. He asked about me every time he seen her and always tipped her $100 and he even bought me a PS2 for Christmas one year because he knew she was struggling to buy it for me. I have his autograph on a bar napkin, framed on my dresser that says “Stay in school & listen to mama or I’ma send Bizzar to whoop yo azz. -Proof” We were devastated to hear of his passing. The world lost a truly great man that day. Every time I hear this song or any other about him I make sure to turn it all the way up so I know he can hear it.
Yo, I know you're on an Eminem binge, but there's another artist that you will binge if you give him one or two songs to get in your ear. Check out any songs by Rittz, he literally doesn't have ANY bad songs. They're all amazing.
see, THIS is what he should've done with Revival. People hated on Recovery but he stepped outside his boundaries(harmonizing, little singing, etc.), which he played with on MMLP 2 as well, without sounding like he completely changed his sound.
One of my favorite parts about this song is how in a sort of round-about way he acknowledges that Proof might have been in the wrong when he was killed no matter how much he doesn’t want to believe it.
This song literally saved my life when i was ready to just hang it all up. I couldn't wake up without think about 100 ways to die. This song helped me remember what there was to live for.
Oh poor em .... it's a painful bars here ... he put all his sadness on his friend proof in this lines ..We usually only know the value of our friends we love when we lose them and I think that is what eminem feeling right now after proof death
My favourite album, it gets tons of shit but to me hip hop isn't how you relate to a track but how the artist expresses how they feel and recovery is basically a biography at that point in his life so to me that's why it's the greatest despite being a fan of em since mmlp
What's up dude I just stumbled apon you and been watching all your vids I feel the exact same way as you do on Em, GOAT. I couldn't fine a vid for Dejuavu if you have one, my apologies if not "you know what it is Let's get to these Bars Bro!

Aoghan Mc Connell Difficult is definitely his saddest song ever but there's more emotion in this one imo

Recovery is probably my favorite Eminem album. And I've been on his shit since infinite.
So much perfection in this album.
“It ain’t like Doody to do that. He wouldn’t fucking shoot at nobody, he’d fight first.”
Uggghh I swear that line hits hard.
Eminem - beautiful

Deja vu please. Haunting dre beat. Underrated as hell from relapse
Relapse has some amazing songs which are slept on so much it hurts
It’s actually not Dre. This beat was from a guest dj.
Not a huge Recovery fan but I like this song. I feel it.

I don’t know if I’m more in love with the funny Slim Shady, the aggressive Eminem or the vulnerable Marshall.
