With due respect I would like to clarify the following points. 1) Not all heart problems lead to increase BP 2) Insulin is known to cause weight gain but it does not deplete glycogen. Instead it helps remove glucose from blood and store it as glycogen. It also helps build protein. Basically it puts your body in anabolic phase. So you dont lose body/muscle mass. 3) According to latest study, over aggressive correction of A1c in Diabetics can be detrimental to health. 4) One does not develop Diabetes by just eating Rotis. Diabetes have a strong genetic component too. It is a combination of excessive sugar and genes. If one goes by this persons logic, almost everyone would be suffering from Diabetes. 5) Best way of preventing Diabetes is to work out and eat a balance diet. Rotis are fine as long as it is balanced. When you exercise, your glucose in blood doesnot need Insulin to get dumped. 6) Vit B12 has no correlation with DM type 1 or 2. You dont lose B12 because of DM or excessive urination! One possible cause could be use of Metformin in diabetics. 7) Aunty's pain in hands/feet should be investigated further. B12 Deficiency is a very less likely cause for it. It doesn't present like that. More likely is Diabetic peripheral neuropathy - which happens due to excessive sugar levels for a long period of time. Or simply it could just be Osteoporosis/Arthritis. Again depends on what kind of pain it is! P.S - Just clarifying few things which I thought were important for masses. I have nothing against the Nutritionist in this video. She may be good at her job but being a physician just sharing my knowledge and point of view. Thank you.
Absolutely true kinaan. Even if the HBA1C is above 7 then also diabetes is reversible. If you do regular exercise and take proper diet then there is no need of supplements and all.

Thirdly roti has fiber, protein, and various essential micro nutrients whereas sugar is just calories and no nutrients. Fourth, if not me please go and watch India's top nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar And what she says about fad diets which she is recommending. Thirdly no liver does not only detoxifies body, liver is responsible for digestion carbs, proteins and fats, fatty liver is a lifestyle disorder unless and until you improve lifestyle it is going to stay no matter how much weight you lose. Also, kitna time reh loge roti ke bina 1mahina 2 mahina 6mahina saal but some day you will come back to it by that time your insulin production will already be reduced
Mohit, I would like to share my personal experience on this, I had HbA1c 9.83 few months back and my Doc. advised me to get admitted in hospital some how Lockdown helped me and I started taking Black Coffee without sugar First thing in the morning and skipped my Breakfast daily for a month and tested my Blood Sugar again it came down to 5.45 and thank god I got rid of Insulin.
5 table spoon sugar have around 250 kCal and 1 chakki atta wali roti has 80-120 kCal. It's not just about the calories intake, whole wheat roti provides proteins, fibers along carbohydrates. One should eat whole wheat in limitations. Take more protein and fibers in diet. Remove all the refined carbohydrates and fats like maida, sugar and refined oil in diet. Do workout daily for half hour at least.
You don't have to cut the carbs or roti. Just calculate your macros that is (BMR and TDEE) and eat in your limits. With daily intake of protein. I'm certified nutritionist.
Y'all need to get one thing straight. It's always calories in calories out, we don't need to eliminate any food group, you just need to eat at maintenance or below to keep or lose weight and have a healthy life. Eliminating a food group will not help with anything. Please do watch real fitness youtubers like Greg Doucette or Mario Tomic.
Pls consult an endocrinologist for insulin dosing modification. Insulin is a very dangerous drug. Also patient on insulin should have regular sugar checked otherwise things as severe as hypoglycemic coma can occur. Also vitamins are also medicine. Avoid taking by yourself. Overdoses can lead to organ toxicity and even failure of liver and kidney. Pls dont self medicate with vitamins also. Tc
Wheat is the main reason for diabetic.. It's better to eat jowar roti. Which u buy jowar and powder it in you local shop so that u don't have any unhealthy mix..

As I recollect. You said you were doing low carb but u were indulging in eating sweets and sugar while on a low carb, this is a strict NO NO!! And, Everybody knows about roti has more calories and garbs. 100g = 359Kcal, no matter what it made of. Normally a roti weight is about 70-90G and we eats 2-3 on an average.

I think she must be talking about pure maida roti, because it is a refined flour. Whole wheat aata roti has carbs, fibres etc. And it's calories does not count just on the carbs like processed sugar, but it counts carbs fibre etc.

I don't know where this dietician has done her course from, but eating 1 roti = 5 tsp of sugar is the most misleading thing I have heard. God Bless her.

I think she must be talking about pure maida roti, because it is a refined flour. Whole wheat aata roti has carbs, fibres etc. And it's calories does not count just on the carbs like processed sugar, but it counts carbs fibre etc.
