The government is too busy taking care of other countries that are at war, and always meddling in other countries' affairs, so they don't care about thinking about their own people, the fate of their people is truly unfortunate.

Yeah, that’s a common misconception. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg (give more than the US) and Germany, Japan, Turkey, the UAE (among others) are on par with US spending per capita when it comes to foreign aid spending. The TRUTH is the US government is too busy lining their own pockets in their extreme capitalist economy rather than actually helping its citizens and communities. Take a look at the living standards of all the countries I mentioned. Free healthcare, free education, successful social welfare and housing, work life balance) and ask yourself why you are still believing the US can’t do the same for its citizens because of foreign aid. US citizens have been fed the foreign aid schtik so long that they barely even question it. They just believe it no questions asked. It’s sad. The TRUTH is there’s not many governments on earth that give their citizens a worse deal than the US govt give theirs. Only US citizens have the ability to change this but in order to do so they need to stop believing they’re the greatest, the bravest and the most free. And that’s a hard task considering that’s all they’ve been taught.

No, the problem is that our government is busy dumping money into our military and enriching the wealthiest of our nation instead of taking care of its people. You take a look at all the other developed countries, they have social services that elevate and care for the lowest of their citizens. Until US citizens realize that we are being played and stop voting against our own interests (voting in wealthy people to manage our country when they have ZERO ideas about what's going on) then maybe we can move forward. This past election just showed we are still brainwashed into thinking that money trickles down and benefitting the wealthy ultimately benefits us.

I grew up in the Bronx (Belmont) for several years. Most Bronxites are great folks. While there are many parts of the borough that remain absolutely beautiful, the areas that still suffer from urban decay are much better than they were back in the 70s. Regardless, I still appreciate and loved my time there.

I lived in Da Bronx during the 1970's and 1980's, the borough looked like a war zone with lots of abandon and burning buildings. It seems like things are turning back to the high crimes, drugs and graffiti era again. There are so many good people in Da Bronx. The 2000's brought much improvement with housing and shopping centers. But now a days, it is way too expensive to rent an apartment leaving people homeless and desperate for a descent living.

I live in Austria/Europe, there are these issues here too, but also help for these people. I am honestly speechless about the extent of this in the USA.
