Interesting trivia about the ending. The reason it takes place in a more rock/grass environment as opposed to Tokyo where you fight SpaceGodzilla, is because the ending, as well as the campaign overall, was originally VERY different. The campaign was going to have more missions, and the goal of each stage was to collect the G cells, rather than them being just...there. As for the final battle, it was originally going to be you walking up Mt. Fuji, fighting each monster one by one, until you got to the top to fight SpaceGodzilla, explains custscene's background
A lot of this unused content can be seen in the gallery section, too (though I believe Titanosaurus was never really heavily considered despite his art appearing there)
Godzilla, against all odds, had finally reached the point where he could stand up to the Vortaak even at the peak of their power. By defeating the Vortaak and sealing their trump monster inside a black hole, Godzilla proved that he is, and will always be, the King Of The Monsters. However, the trump monster wasn't dead. Years later, crystals began raining down from above, and as mutants bearing the likes of SpaceGodzilla emerged, humanity trembled at the thought that the real deal would soon be Unleashed.
I find it odd that only Godzilla 2000 gets the true ending. Then again, they planned a lot for this game that couldn't make the final cut. So perhaps more cutscenes was part of that.
@SuperMarioFan 3001 Dang, I forget how popular those were with you people. I'm flattered. That sounds kind of hard to do for something as bare bones as STE's story though. I had a lot to work with for GU's story. Even made Tyrant endings on my DA page. But I don't really have a spark for STE.
The G unleashed universe is same for save the earth because Unleashed universe begins 20 years after of spacegodzilla enter in this portal and he is launching the crystals that appear at the beginning of the story of Godzilla Unleashed. The crystals he is launching is he trying to get out of that portal.
For people who are wondering why Godzilla 2000 and SpaceGodzilla were battling in the mountains even tho they were fighting in Tokyo, I’ll explain. Godzilla STE was originally going to have a full blown adventure story rather than just fighting random kaijus. You would have missions and collect G cells. But in the final stage, rather than fighting Space at Tokyo, the final stage would take place at Mount. Fuji, where you climb the mountain to SpaceGodzilla’s crater. As you climb, you will fight nearly all the monsters (excluding Godzilla 90s) as you fight 3-7 a time. After that, you then go to the crater have your final showdown with SpaceGodzilla. However, the entire story would take roughly a year to make and considering that not only Godzilla Final War was coming out around the same time as Godzilla STE, but also Godzilla 50th anniversary was happening. So they scrapped all the story mode and the ending was the only cutscene aside from intro survived in the game. Good news is that a UA-camr known as DylanRocket uploaded the Mount. Fuji stage, but it is unfinished.
I really hope this game is put up for Xbox One backwards compatibility. The chances are slim as hell but it'd still be nice. The rights to Godzilla video games going to Bandai probably doesn't help the chances very much.
Gotta say remaster this game add the rooster from Unleashed add an amazing soundtrack and have it run like this or Melee and you've got one hell of an amazing Godzilla game
@@jmachero5852 the way they did the game, Space Godzilla makes the most sense. this version of Ghidorah is sort of mid-level and Destoroyah doesn't really make sense as the Vortak final weapon
Spacegodzilla: *is the secret final boss of G2k's Hard Mode playthrough* Also Spacegodzilla: *is one of the worst playable monsters in the game due to over-reliance on his Energy meter combined with slower-than-normal Energy regen*
I'd say he's one of the better ones! His run is one of the fastest in the game and can pretty much stop on a dime, his "crystal bat" attack is super powerful and cannot be blocked, and his grab range is incredibly broken - you can place a crystal, grab someone and throw them towards you so you can use your stunning headbutt attack on them, and when they hit the ground/stand up, they'll be stunned. By the time they can react, your energy will already be replenished to grab them again and repeat the process. More nimble monsters like Godzilla 2000 can go to town on him in close quarters combat, though.
@@SuperGodzillaGaming yeah, but all of those unusual and really useful tricks (other than his run) have a common weakness: they use up his Energy meter really fast. Even if he has 2 spires active, he doesn't regain energy fast enough to attack from a distance for long, so he basically HAS to use that super-fast run to flee until his energy recharges. But if he's running away, he'll be out of range to recharge from his spires, which get destroyed by one sweep attack anyway. And that's assuming you're not playing on the Boxing Ring arena in VS Mode, which doesn't have room for him to run away. Spacegodzilla hits hard, but his awful melee means he HAS to hardcore zone the enemy out in order to stand a chance. And of course, like basically the entire rest of the cast, he's nearly helpless against Destoroyah. Stupid vacuum bombs...

So am I the only person that hasn’t seen this true ending and have never seen that under water challenge before and I’ve played the game all the time when I was little ?
Thanks for the video SuperGodzillaGaming. I love seeing this hard mode ending. Another thing, your juggling around of SpaceGodzilla into the barrier towards the end of your fight with him was funny. Also, holy skreeonk! I had no idea M.O.G.U.E.R.A. could do a ninja flip. I've had this game for years, and this is the first time I have ever seen that. Once again I have some questions and suggestions. 1. Are you going to do a separate video of you completing the Mothership mission in which you play as Godzilla 2000, and fight Orga in his various forms? I initially didn't think to remind you of this since I thought the Mothership mission occurred during the hard mode Godzilla 2000 campaign run, but apparently these two things are separate. Here's a link to someone else completing it, in case you don't remember what I'm typing about. ua-cam.com/video/SRy-gqt2Q8k/v-deo.html 2. When you do your Godzilla Unleashed Wii run through, will you keep focusing on one mode at a time? I appreciate your thoroughness, but I think if you apply your normal style of one mode at a time for that game, it could backfire on you. Let's say you did training mode with all of the monsters in this game before going on through the story mode runs. It's going to lead to a period of time for your channel in which all you will be releasing are shorter videos where all the monsters your playing as will be showcasing the basics of the game and fighting an opponent whose Megalon most of the time. I think it's going to get old quickly. You avoided being boring with your G:DAMM and G:STE play throughs since the content in them was more substantial, and it was fun to see how you approached strategies with so many different monsters and a good variety of opponents. I suggest doing one monster's training mode and then immediately go over to their campaign runs and then switch to another monster to do their training mode and campaign runs until you have done this for everyone. This method will also help you keep a monster's move set fresh in your mind, and will keep your channel from going through a period of monotony.
Same here, I'd never seen that midair flip before! It was a treat to see. 1) Yes - actually, now that you link it, I had no idea the Challenges took so long to complete! I may make those into separate videos (was tempted to consolidate them, but the last few like the underwater one & Mothership one you linked are fairly lengthy alone). Then the eventual Gallery videos (one for the regular Gallery, one for the Final Wars gallery, though I'll probably post those 2 videos at the same time rather than condense them). 2) As for Training ... a great idea! Training mode feels like a really filler mode to make as a video by itself, and I didn't really like the idea of making separate videos of it at first. But having it as the precursor to an adventure mode run would work really well.
