I have a 2021 model. Unreal how fast they are.
Love it. Keep them coming
Can't get that from the dealer thnks brotha greatd information
very nice machine!
Nice boat ☺️
I have ordered one of these, still a bit nervous about how many hours these supercharged engines last. I plan to use mine in Stockholm archipelago
These engines hold up very well for hundreds of hours as long as you follow all the flushing and maintenance procedures! Use only Full synthetic oil, and never miss a flushing or fogging.
Thanks for sharing! Great information.

Billy’s here! Id recognize that name anywhere thanks to Kevin Shaw. Thanks man, just trying share this awesome ski with other Kawi fans.
@@JDsWaterWorld No doubt, Lol. Yeah we appreciate you sharing the videos for sure. My friend Chad just picked up his 2022 310LX. Can’t wait to try it out, hopefully real soon. Please keep the videos coming for everyone to enjoy.

My 2011 is still going strong with basically the same motor, just update the catch can so you can catch the blowby.
That’s awesome, proper maintenance and care goes a long way. How many hours?
What is the main reason they changed this covered engine vs the 2020? I just got a 2020 with 10 hours on it and I am looking to be a mostly offshore fishing here in Texas. I'm assuming it'll keep water out a lot better if you flip it over?
One more questions are these off-balanced like all the older skis? I know mine is quite a bit heavier on the left side I believe it was. Turns completely different going left vs right. Love the videos! Thanks!
I think one of the main reasons for the engine cover has to deal with the new adjustable seat. I promise you though, it is really not a big deal. It’s really easy to get the cover off, I have been doing it each time I do post ride maintenance. Just make sure you have a 10 mm nut driver with you, but if you don’t the ski comes with a tool kit in the front compartment. It might be a pain to get off out on the water if you were trying to check a hose or something, but I have noticed it cuts way down on the amount of salt water and salt spray that enters the engine compartment. It’s fine it’s funny because a little bit of salt water gets through the clear plastic cover, and leaves a residue on the valve cover right there. The body of the exhaust the rest of the engine the intercooler and the belt components are completely protected from salt water spray. The 2020 is a great ski, but it handles completely differently than the 2022. The changes to the front water deflection system are incredible, and the new ultra deck is so large it’s great for fishing or an extended fuel cell. With prices and everything the way they are now, enjoy your 2020
@@JDsWaterWorld thank you very much! Picked up the orange supercharged for 14k with trailer and about 10 hours on it. One day I'll need a second! Great Chanel you have
@@abc123hshdhd8w You got an awesome deal on that ski, I love the orange color. For a 22’ out the door with $tealership fees, tax, tag, and trailer you would be close to 2x that price! Thanks for watching! Go Team Green!
Cam you show an engine flush and do you still have to do both supercharger and engine
Yes I actually filmed a flush video just have to get it uploaded. You flush the intercooler and engine separately, yes. The ski has separate flush ports identical to the previous generations. Also have to fog the supercharger as part of the post ride maintenance.
I bet you can put this engine in a small car, it’s just the right size and it’s effectively in a rear wheel drive layout. It needs a clutch and an adapter plate to put it up to a transmission.
Is the fiberglass on the inside smooth? It seems like you could get cuts on it
The bottom of the hull on the inside is smooth, but the inside part of the top deck looks like it was fabricated with chop cloth, so it’s fairly rough. I don’t think it would cause cuts, but maybe some irritation on your skin from the fiberglass chop cloth.
Sound like you have done some homework so you might be able to answer my question.... Is just my imagination or it looks like this ski has an old ignition system? Is electronic? Looks like has a coil pack at the front of the ski 🤔...
By the way I love the look of this new ski can't wait to see it on the water
The ski has a fully electronic digital transistor/CDI ignition. It is the same design used on all the Ninja motorcycles and Kawasaki Jet Skis for the last 10+ years. Some manufacturers locate the coil directly on top of the plug, but Kawasaki chose to keep the coil packs separate (as you noted). The plug wires look to be 8mm, which is more than adequate for this application. I prefer the remote coils, as the coils themselves are not exposed to the heat cycles from being in directly contact with the head. She runs 17 degrees of advance total, which actually isn’t that much by racing standards. Also check out my videos of the ski in action on the water. It’s a great ski, check it out for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.
@@JDsWaterWorld just looked very old designed by appearence.
I did see your videos and I have to say it sounds amazing on the water 😍
Can you access the fogging port with cover on?
Yes, you can. The engine compartment cover is very easy to take off btw.
These are port injection not direct injection! i wish they would put this engine in a small little hull the size of the Spark
@Seth N you are completely right. They call it “DFI” so I just read the acronym wrong it’s really “Digital Fuel Injection” not “Direct.”
Love the ski & Kawi but Kawasaki cancelled all their Watercraft line for 2022. Mine included.
@Kevin C where did you hear that??? I don’t think that the 310 production has been cancelled, maybe it was your dealer ? Where are you located?
@@JDsWaterWorld I'm in Palm Beach County FL. Tried South Florida local dealer here and Broward county. We also had an SXR1500 and that was cancelled too. I called out of state (NY & Illinios) to a couple dealers as well and they all say the same. "cancelled" Do you have any insight to this?
I’m in Jupiter… If you call Ft. pierce Honda Kawasaki they might have an LX-S on the showroom floor…they had one that I ordered but ended up not buying because I found a different one before that one arrived. I could have had 2 of them, but couldn’t justify spending that much. Did you try Broward Motorsports in West Palm Beach?
What a pain in the butt
Do you ride in the ocean often? I love the sealed engine compartment, really keeps salt water out very well.
It was brought to my attention that I stated the engine has “12 valves” in my video. The engine as you know has 4 valves per cylinder- 2 intake and 2 exhaust for a grand total of 16 valves. Math was never my strong suit…sorry for the error!
