Great series. I especially loved the use of the subxsheet to flip the animation.
    Regarding painting the colour:
Using the paint brush tool on the same level, the paint colour will always be behind the lines, if you choose the areas option (default), so you could paint on the same level if you wanted. It makes managing drawings easier because you don't have to worry about keeping them in sync.
Plus, you can use the bucket fill, which is much quicker than painting manually.
And using the frame range, you could paint the fur for all of the drawings in 2 steps. Then paint the collar, tongue, etc on top afterwards, using the Lock Alpha option, to paint only where the fur paint was.
    Thanks again for sharing 😀

Hi Darren, what an honour to have you watch my video and even more so, to comment. It's much appreciated, as I am a fan of your channel. Thanks, those are some great tips re. filling etc - this part of OT is relatively "new" to me, as most of the drawing/painting etc I have been doing out of OT, in Krita - so I have much to learn in this regard. It's a bit of a weak spot, so thank you fir the tips, I will go through them all and see where I can apply them to my work flow going forward. Next video I make that encompasses them, I will be sure to share the source, i.e. you. That's a "Darren-tee" ;-) Thanks again Darren and warm regards :-)

😀 Cheers James. I've been following you for a while (quietly). The more people making OpenToonz videos, the better. Let's get the word out there!
I just wanted to share these tips in case it helped. There's always a temptation to continue working in OT as you have in other software, but working with the indexed colours and the separation of line & fill that Toonz Raster and Vector levels has, can help introduce different workflows.
Colouring on different "layers" is something I'm asked about a lot! So it's a pet subject for me, as you can probably tell 🙂

@@DarrenTAnims indeed! I came across OT barely 4 years ago, looking for something to just get going with, to create my movies, and I absolutely loved it. I want to tell stories, primarily, so I tend to rush through all the technical stuff along the way, as I just want to get stuff done. I saw OT as just a tool to get stuff done, at first. But now, as I learn more about it, and it’s amazing offerings, the more I love it, and the more I want to learn about it. It’s a great, powerful piece of kit, for sure 👌

Hi Akash, ok - had a look at it, and to get back all the control panels all you have to do is point your mouse onto the top control bar, right click and then a drop down will appear that allows you to turn on/off all the settings for clouds, sky etc - hope that helps, all the best :-)

Hi, thanks for your request, unfortunately I can't do that, as I don't have the time. I know UA-cam offers a subtitle function, but I don't know if they do in Bahasa. Thank you for watching my video, much appreciated.
