It's nice to see a fallout video, especially a modding one, and I saw your argument for TTW but most people use it because of more stability of New Vegas's engine, or as stable as a bethesda game can get.
I have a nice built (starfield in full graphics) but fallout 3 look weird on it. Here's a tip go to properties of the game and set 'run compatibility' for windows 7. Noticeable difference
If you want to make & see how Fallout 3 beautiful & make it's atmosphere even more intense, play it on 4k resolution even if you have 1080p monitor. Use DSR in Nvidia control panel maybe AMD have something equivalent. If you have large monitor there's no point of doing this because of lower pixel density.
how can i make the iron sights plus mod work properly? when i aim up down sights, the weapon will go a little bit down, and won't let me aim up properly. any help with that?
I know I'm late but you also gotta make sure that you install also the required mods in certain mods there, the video and modlist don't put it but there are certain mods that are needed for others to work in this case for the Iron sights it requires another extra mod called: ArchiveInvalidation that shows up in the requirements. Or the Sprint mods that requires the anniversary patches mod, that mod you have extract it on the Game's folder and run the .exe

Man I don't understand the desire to remove the green tint from the world and making environments look cleaner and brighter.... The green tint contributed soo much to the irradiated post apocalyptic feel. The world isn't supposed to be nice and vibrant with blue skies... It's meant to be grim and brutal. The dingy dull green was an integral part of that game imo. Putting blue skies in just completely ruins the whole vibe of the game imo.

Removing that, you're just making it into any other post-apocalyptic game. It's like people replacing all of the Art Deco and American Gothic designs of these games with ports from Call of Duty.

Yeah, i'm sticking with vanilla. Installing all those mods and them not working anyway, people giving missleading tips how to fix them, reinstalling again and again. It's just not worth it, i'm gonna enjoy vanilla experience.
Fallout 3 is the game that occupied most of my teenage life alongside Oblivion, Black ops, Halo and San andreas, best era of gaming. I dont care what the Fnv toxic community says. They are butthurt maybe because without Fallout 3, their favorite game would never exist.
i like the old graphics.....graphics doesnt mean more fun. What is important is the dialogues, a good gameplay and a good music/atmosphere. Fallout 3 its a lot better than vegas.
Thanks for the hard work putting all this together. Some of the mods looked a bit comic like while others looked pretty good. I much prefer FO3 over New Vegas. For me FO3 had the best atmosphere, exploration and map. Vegas map seemed to just go round in a circle.

For the record I agree. There's nothing wrong with the green filter and it suits the game well. For example I really like how the game looks at 21:04 and that's without any mods changing the filter.
Which version of the game are you using? Steam or GOG? I’m asking because in your mod list you didn’t specify whether or not you had F3SE installed, or any of the fixes that the steam version needs. Trying to copy this mod list but I need that beginning info

For the record, I don't think GOG modding would be any different. I used to use the disc-installed version of the game years ago, the only thing you had to ever be concerned about with each version was where you installed it on your PC(file path) and what version you had it patched to. Everything else was the same. I recall Steam having some troubles with localization of Fallout 1 and 2, there was a sanitized version for Germany that got sold in more countries than Germany if I recall, but I don't think FO3 ever had that problem.
@@SmorgasvordNew Vegas is better, in its writing and gameplay, but the internet only works on extremes. Fallout 3 still has the best map and atmosphere of any game in the franchise. I wish Bethesda would return to this art style, rather than the candy-coloured theme park of Fallout 76.
just use the, life after death enb. and some lighting enhancements + apocalypse fog. it will look more decent. at least for me. I'm just not a fan of sharp vibrant colors in a fallout game.
Going to be honest... this is like putting lipstick on a pig. The underlying tech, assets are just too old. They were old when Fallout 3 released. It's a fun game, yes. But it's a very ugly game, even with mods.
It looks like shit whatever you do, but it's just such an awesome game it doesn't matter, so I just play it and don't waste time with mods. The GOG version is solid, just get it and play it out of the box. FNV needs mods because it's a bug ridden empty desert.
Even if you're not into visual stuff there are a lot of useful mods that fix bugs or add interesting features for Fallout 3. It can compliment the experience on new playthroughs.
@@CredoRP It can do yeah, but I've played through FO3 numerous times since its release, the GOG version is sound and stable in my experience, and the only times I've had trouble with CTD's or weird shit is with mods. I concluded it wasn't worth the trouble, and to be fair to the game, what bugs can you really point to in FO3 unless you read a list of fixes in a bug fix mod. Not many is it. It's a crazy game, last time I played through it I found a random detonator on scaffolding downtown, thought never come across this before, it was wired to a shit load of explosives and blew up the whole street killing loads of supers. I play it for the random mad events that can only take place in FO3. If you have fun modding though that's cool, you just have to accept that even if you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig lol.

I love both F3 and NV, but the success of Oblivion really is the backbone of these games.

it SUCKS that some of the mods requires FOSE and i have a STEAM version and apparently FOSE wont work with it.

This is the Steam version with FOSE. I'm not familiar with modding the GOG version unfortunately.

You can manually download them and add the file to your mod manager, then install like normal.
