Thank You for uploading this video Mynda. I LOVE Vikings! The cast and Mr. Hirst gave a very interesting talk here and they seem very grateful for the fans being there. Looking forward to the new episodes.
Omg this really is the best show ever ive been fan since day 1 and I do think Kathryn said it right they have the best most loyal fans in the world. I don;t want it to end!!!!!!!!! love all of the actors and travis flimmel is outstanding as well; viva la vikingsssss!
37:34 Interesting question about the mosque and Floki moment. I guess even in the TV shows you have to be careful what to show on the screen. I find it so ironical since many other harsh and vulgar scenes are present
Yes! The comment l was looking for ! Glad someone else noticed this ! Alex also said it in another interview! He called Heamund his lover & said he hoped Ivar & Heamund were having a relationship and that Heamund should have betrayed Lagertha and gone back to support Ivar ! Also in the dialogue Lagertha asks Heamund “ do you love women & men? “ (which is a strange thing to ask if there wasn’t supposed to be any erotic undertones between Ivar & Heamund… ) l think Alex’s original script probably did have a “ HeaVar - Ship” ( otherwise Alex wouldn’t have had those Freudian slips and dropped those hints )
Ok, so I don't know if this is already a theory or not, but when Alexander hinted that Bjorn was going to learn something shocking what if that news is that Rollo is his father? I know that sounds like a long shot, but in the first season Rollo and Lagertha acted like they were ex lovers (there was a lot of tension and Rollo was still sort of attracted to her and couldn't understand why she was with Ragnar). Also, Rollo was always really close with Bjorn and always stuck by his side. He also told Hvitserk (when he came to ask for the soldiers) that he would only give him and Ivar reinforcements if they promised not to kill Bjorn. I understand that Rollo didn't know Ubbe all that well, but why was not killing Bjorn the ONLY condition?? Bjorn being Rollo's son would also explain why he was so willing to let him pass by Normandy and why he agreed to go with him. Rollo did do it because he missed raiding, but as Clive said, he has to account for his people, so why would he go with the Vikings and risk upsetting his people and ruining his marriage with his wife? Answer: Bjorn is his son. Again, this is just a theory, but one that I've actually been pondering for a while now. I recently showed Vikings to a friend of mine, and in the first season she asked me if Bjorn was actually Rollo's son. That's what got me to thinking. What do you all think about that theory? If it's a theory that you support or that you have seen others talk about, what other info/evidence do they (or you) have that I forgot to mention?
I read that theory a couple of times. There's a deleted scene in season 2 I think where Lagertha & Rollo are talking and she thanks him for always looking out for Bjorn "like his own son" which is some say is a hint. Also, in season 1 episode 1 Ragnar tells Bjorn the story of how he won Lagerthas heart by "killing a bear", this is possibly another reference to Rollo bc in season 3 the French speaking viking explorer refers to Rollo as a "a crazy bear" when the French capture him. One last hint, Ragnar goes to see the Seer and he prophesied that "a princess will marry a bear, which is bad news for you" this is a clear reference to Rollo marrying the French princess then turning against Ragnar again & another reference to Rollo as a bear. So yeah...Rollo might be Bjorns dad...but this show fictionalized alot of historical facts for dramatic purposes so you never really know where its gona go
I just see Rollo as an uncle that loves his nephew, from all the battles and time they've spent together. After all Bjorn grew up around Rollo, unlike Bjorn's other brothers. Plus, i know its not always the case, but genetically speaking, Ragnar, Lagertha and Bjorn all have blonde hair, but Rollo has brown, this puts a bit of doubt on your theory of Rollo being the father.
KJ Does Stuff I agree, I think she had a fling with Rollo that we didn't see previous to her relationship with Ragnar. They are a few hints and there was a scene where she talks to Rollo about him being protective of Bjòrn and Lagertha says "almost like he's your own son" then he gives her a look and says go on and she just stares at him in a like a unspoken agreement and says she has nothing more to say. I believe that it was about Bjòrn being his son and I think it will be revealed in upcoming seasons.
Where are Jordan and Marco? ( Ubbe and Hvitserk ) their characters are supposed to be really important yet the two guys aren’t here but girl who plays Torvi is here? Only because she is Hirst’s daughter doesn’t make her important sorry
YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT.The kid is an overactor and not even close to Travis' originality.Ragnar will be remembered as the single greatest character in Tv history
@@Christoforos-Matthew_25-34 Watch the show. Alex does not overact! He's AMAZING as Ivar! That's a fact! Yes, Ragnar was really great. However there is a lot of great characters in this show, not only Ragnar!

Till season 4b...got is way better ..cause of its multiple main characters..if one dies show doesn't die with him(Ned ,Robb) ..but vikings don't have that many great characters..may be 2 only Ivar ,bjorn
Hearing the lenghts he goes to to get the languages right, it's funny Hirst should then place the series in Kattegat. Kattegat is a real place but it's not a village, it's a body of water between Denmark and Sweden. Historically it is important, Denmark and Sweden have fought 30+ wars in that narrow gap, but it is not a village.
Just finished the series. Im pretty critical of shows and not easy to please but wow was Vikings an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. Alot of people online said they stopped watching after season 4 which I believe you’re robbing yourself from the story.
I still loved Vikings not because it was full of war and sex, but because it had the strongest personas represented with each character, each flaw and each strength. Fact is, even "some" of the villains had such a strong believable existence of the time. Nothing exaggerated and nothing crazy for the sake of being forced. It had solid story telling, only issue is the peaceful times were great but the show didn't want to just let them play out proper.
You know, I'm glad Katheryn brought up the topic of women being erased from history. Our outrage has been bred out of us, but we should be outraged by how much has simply been hidden/not written about because the cultures doing the chronicling were scared and disturbed by female leaders/warriors/house-heads...it didn't fit their cultural or spiritual narrative so they were erased...and because women have been raised generation after generation for thousands of years to be completely unaware, to be under a particular thumb here or there, most women simply have no idea there's so much more history to our gender than the prescribed stories...it is impossible for women to have had so little influence as we're told because women's hearts are just as passionate, just as strong, regardless who is trying to say otherwise. It's just human. I have a hard time trusting mainstream scholars and historians about anything they find as they're always trying to apply discoveries to an older bias that itself is a darkness in human history...the burial of women's true, ancient history. Time and again there's evidence found, there's legends, but the fear of exploring and getting real answers remains... because the culture that repressed it is still active. I would love to sit with Katheryn someday and just talk, because I bet she's educated herself to a similar degree that too many women aren't even keyed into.
It was very difficult for me to accept the death of Ragnar, it took a year to continue watching the series, I didn't want to continue watching Vikings without Ragnar, after a year I was able to continue watching episodes 5 and 6

Myself totally agree

Agree with you 100%: Alex is amazing and can't wait to see more of him this upcoming season!
Me too!
I need Alex Hogh Andersen in more movies and shows please ❤
Alex is alone carrying this show. I never thought id say that after Travis left. But man he is gifted asf. #TeamIvar
Katheryn looks more beutiful every year
Why didn t the pick her for captain Marvel?

Maybe people will get confused between her and Scarlet Johanson.
she is way more beutiful
Indeed, I looking forward to next year
I'm loving how energetic and enthusiastic Alex is 😂
I really think Alex Hogh Andersen is the new star of the show.
Scruffy Rodriguez I’m sure of it

Well I hope so #TeamIvar
