So it's probably a remnant of people not forgetting about that or just memeing about it. Also, there is a very real possibility of personal insecurities involved where someone might just automatically assume if there is a girl that shares some level of interests as they do, then that must mean it's obviously some sort of trick or trap that is directed at the viewer's expense. Or, to put it in perspective: "There is no way that there is a girl out there that shares similar interests with me. This has to be a guy trying to scam me." I can actually relate to this point more. Not specifically this case, but, for instance, I have an issue with people doing random acts of kindness for me since it makes me paranoid that I'm being set up for some sort of humiliation. But in all likelihood, it's probably just some kid trying to be funny. They probably didn't even stick around in the chat long enough to hear her response.
