Been watching a bunch of vids on these Hawks especially the fuel injected ones since I hate dealing with carbs. But I do like tinkering with stuff and it would be cool to be able to somewhat build a bike out of a box. I live on an island in the pacific northwest so don't need to go highway speeds but glad you posted this since they seemed to be geared way too low. Also nice job on mentioning the socket sizes for the tools you used. A little detail but saves a guy a bunch of time. Anyway keep up the vids. You have some of the best ones on the hawks. Liked and subbed!
Thank you for posting this! What other mods/upgrades have you done or are thinking about doing? 70mph is awesome to see. I’m getting my dlx next week. Definitely doing the same!
Thanks for watching!!! I’m not planning on doing too many mods. I will be at the least changing out the inner tubes… I hear the stock ones are very thin…I’m currently only at around 660 miles and riding only on street, the tires seem to be holding up well. I may do something with the header pipe as well , It looks like it needs some attention! My son and I each bought a hawk because they are inexpensive and I’m planning on doing the minimum!!! Thanks and hope I was able to help!!!!

Great video
Cheater bar 6" ext and socket that'll fit over ratchet handle.
You supposed to put a Seventeen tooth on the front and forty five on back I thought
Well I guess that depends on how u wanna gear your hawk ..this setup works best for me and riding in my area
Were you able to use the stock chain?
Yes we used the stock chain… just adjust it!
Please can you post the link to the sproket
Do you have the links to buy those sprockets? I have bought several sprockets I hade to return because they were not right. Great video, thanks!
Those r what I used
Hope that helps!!!
How does it work out off road?
Didn’t use off road
I would say it is ok for light trail riding
I definitely wouldn’t do big jumps if any at all
I’d say buy and try!!!

I just got 2 days ago and was wondering about the trail effect. Thank you.
What were the stock sprocket sizes on this bike?
Like 12t front sprocket if it hasn't changed. Not sure about the back.
