Why religion is important?
If Pakistan had oil reserves it would have became like Dubai by now. If Pakistan lets Hindus to become majority it'll become India. But Pakistan is not doing that. Conversely India is becoming Pakistan with each census. In Kerala, Pakistani births are far more than Indian births.
If you look back in history religion and politics have always been inseparable. The Church the Islamic clerics, The Buddhist Monks, The Khalsa all have had their role in defining the political outcome. It’s foolhardy to wish it away. If BJP doesn’t do it someone else will do it either in the form of minority appeasement, vote bank politics or reservations for minority. This holier than thou attitude is bull$hit. In the end what matters is the development and prosperity which the elected Government brings to the country.
