  • I have edited a short video where I will show you how to light a fire in winter conditions in the snow. It seems easy at first, but you are wrong. It's very difficult! I rarely show the entire clip of lighting the fire because it takes a very long time. First, I collect sufficiently dry grass and branches, if possible. I try to find dry grass in the snow immediately upon arriving at the camping location and store it in my pocket to dry, so that I can easily light a fire later. I cut firewood into smaller pieces. I use part of the chopped pieces of wood to make a Feder stick. I make a feder stick by taking a knife and making thin sheets with the blade at an angle. The feather stick that I get ignites quickly, even with a light flame or a spark that I make with a lighter. I also use a primitive way of lighting a fire with stone and carbon iron, and as fuel I use CharCloth, . This kind of primitive fire-lighting has become my favorite.
