Check out all the lures I talked about in the video description! Purchasing your tackle though those links helps out the TRF channel a ton! Thank you!!
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
So glad I came across your channel. Been wanting to learn about fishing I've tried to teach myself off and on over the years with not much luck. I'm 60 now and trying again. I recently purchased a small kids real for my Granddaughter and all she talks about is taking her out to fish. It's hard to teach her how to fish when I never had anyone teach me. Thanks for the information that you share,
Good timing, I was just watching your video from last spring when you caught that 10 on the Hybrid Hunter. I completely agree with you on all these baits for pre spawn, however it's also one of my favorite times to throw a big soft swimbait too. Keep up the good work bud. 👊
I live in Ontario Canada and I'm jealous of you. I have a great spot for small mouth right across the street here but the season is only last week of June until the end of November.
@@TylersReelFishing oh no, I'm not talking about ice conditions. I was referring to local regulations, Bass season closes at the end of November and doesn't open again until June.

@@TylersReelFishing 😂😂 sure thing. I’ll drill it and jig with a big Colorado blade spinnerbait. I’ll give theses baits a shot for sure! Prespawn is mid April/ early May for us.
I am big fan of combining 1 & 2 & 3 in the pre spawn. Put a 5 inch swim bait (3) on the back of a skirted jig (2) and retrieve it very slowly through heavy cover and around targets and edges (1) ! Caught my PB during the pre-spawn doing just this! Swimmin' Jigs is that dirty dirty. This list basically is exactly what I have caught fish on February and March. As always thorough and well explained list of incredibly effective presentations Tyler!
My local pond is max 10ft mostly 8. I’ve been killin em on a rip stop Jerkbait. I’m still in winter time water in Idaho. They have been small but a fish is a fish
You didn't do to bad with the Walmart 1$ strike king single blade in one of your videos. Actually you did fantastic, probably my favorite spinner blade video
Please post a video throwing only the hybrid hunter. That would be great, especially on a pond bank. Where I live in Oklahoma that’s the only option I’ve got and I just bought a hybrid hunter and haven’t got to use it yet

Are you talking about the video link at the end? It should be there, as it is on my end. I will put it in the video description from now on as well though
@@TylersReelFishing when you were going over the hybrid hunter and said here is the link for more about this bait, and you indicate its over your shoulder. However i was watching it, there was nothing there. However when i searched for the video in your youtube playlist i found it.
Great! Like I said, the box to click to watch that video is there on my end, but I will try to do better with putting the link in the video description
Don’t worry about the weights, just about the sizes. The Shallow version is new, and great for 1-3 feet of water. The normal dives 2-5. Jr. version on each will run a tiny bit shallower, but not much. Negligible. I fish the Jr. 95% of the time, unless the water is dirty and there are lots of big ones. But the Jr. caught me a 10, so it still catches bigs haha
Imagine the possibilities when you mod the blade of the chatterbait, like I do, to increase or decrease the thump and loosen up the action. Needle nose pliers is all you need.
Swim jig rod can vary depending on how heavy the cover is you’re fishing in. I fish a swim jig on anything from 7’2” MH to 7’6” MH. Chatterbait I’m also using a 7’3” MH but moderate
Hi Tyler, hope all is well. I’m looking to try the Hybrid Hunter this spring and was wondering what colors to use? I saw on your fish catches that you were using the red craw color, is there another color you would suggest? Thanks for responding?
So I fish a chatter bait around grass. I fish a crank bait around rocks. A spinner bait around wood. What would I fish in just a mud bottom like in most ponds?
Hey Tyler, I hope you are doing well. An old friend of yours is my youth pastor right now, Ian Webber. He mentioned you to me and that made me excited. Great video Tyler!! Super informative. You at the Classic again this year Brother??
Yessir!
Water still frozen😔
Big oof
The Booyah Covert Spinnerbait won't roll over when you burn it!
just throw a senko
Not in the top 5 for pre-spawn in my opinion. Once spawn hits though it's top 3
Senko is a boring way to fish
That's why your UA-cam famous and the video your watching is some no name dude.. nice try though there fr fr.. smfh

If you’ve got the fish quality for it, that big soft swimmer can work wonders

Pay for faster shipping I guess!

Noted but huh ?
Can't wait to get out and fish
Put this to use soon then!

If you were to get 3 rod and reel combos (preferably 2 baitcast 1 spinning) what would they be and what lures should I use for each

Why red for the bladed jig? At first I thought it made logical sense since crawdads are red, but aren’t they green/brown before you cook em?
Red has almost nothing to do with crawfish. It’s just a color that has worked well historically for many anglers in the winter and pre spawn
Hey Tyler thanks for the info! What color for the hybrid hunter?
Red almost all the time for me
What color hybrid hunter, you didn’t say in the masterclass or this video?
Red red and red

Red red and red

Med or medium heavy rod ?
MH
The hybrid hunter what lb of line to use ? I like to use fluorocarbon line
12 to 17lb, depending on how thick the cover is around. I fish it more like a spinner bait
