We use the figure 8 follow through as the dead end knot on a horse high picket line. My Bride and I do horse expos and teach people how to put up a picket line using 3 knots... The figure 8 follow through (because it's SO MUCH EASIER TO TEACH than the bowline!!!) an alpine butterfly as a change of direction to tighten the picket line, and finally a prusik. The prusik holds the line tight and 2 more of them attach a horse and a hay bag to the picket line... I'm saving this video for future reference!! Thank YOU for this!!! Bill
