    What has happened has happened and it couldn’t have happened any other way, because it has. Facts are facts they won’t change it’s how we view them is key. The only thing that can possibly change is us! When how we look at things, the things we look at change. As you said David acceptance it’s not saying what they did is okay it’s an internal job, we have to accept and being okay, with what was not okay, emotionally disconnecting not ruminating being ambivalent to it to release the energy that would be anger to give it back to yourself.. The body keeps score so it’s not just mentally we suffer, we can physically suffer too! Acceptance it’s the kindest and most compassionate thing you can do for yourself. ❤❤ love all your lessons thank you so much ☺️

      Hi foolbritannia956 ,
      Your reflections on acceptance and the power of perspective are insightful. It's true that while we cannot change what has happened, we can transform our relationship with those experiences through understanding and acceptance. Recognising how our bodies and minds are interconnected is a profound step towards inner peace.
      Thank you for your kind words about the lessons. I'm grateful to have you on this journey and to see how deeply you connect with the teachings.

    This teaching makes perfect sense. Events from my childhood have been brought to the surface by my present path to internal peace. I realize I cannot change what happened. Choices were made and consequences happened whether they were my own or from those around me. What I CAN change is how I now assist my "inner child" to deal with the emotions generated by the events and to let them go. They weigh an awful lot and I've been carrying those feelings for a lot of years. They are no longer necessary or relevant for my being. Getting rid of the burden frees me for hope and light. Thank you always for your wisdom. I am learning to just be. Peace to you and yours.

      Hi Nancy,
      Thank you for sharing your insights so beautifully. It's empowering to recognise the weight of past events and how we can choose to release them, guiding our "inner child" towards freedom and peace. Your journey towards internal peace and your understanding of letting go to find light are profound. The wisdom you've shared is truly inspiring.

    Yes! Accept it, build the bridge, cross it and move on from the past. I've been building walls for not to see it, keep it out, to trap it. Instead I've imprisoned myself. - Thank you

      Hi,
      Thank you for your insight. Recognising that walls meant to protect us can sometimes end up confining us is a significant realisation. Building bridges instead of walls is a beautiful metaphor for fostering understanding and progress within ourselves. Keep nurturing this perspective and exploring ways to move forward. Dear David
    Time and time again
    The scar of those events never removed. Yes we tried letting it go. However the memories and flashbacks caused me grief and pain and great sadness . 😢

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi @nargesnourshahi5091,
      It sounds like you are carrying a heavy burden, and I truly empathize with the pain and sadness that come from such deep scars. It's important to acknowledge that while the events themselves cannot be changed, your relationship with these memories can evolve.
      One approach to consider is the practice of acceptance. Rather than striving to let go of the memories, which can sometimes feel like an insurmountable task, you might focus on accepting them as part of your history but not your entirety. This can help reduce the power they hold over your emotional well-being.
      Additionally, engaging in practices that ground you in the present moment, such as mindfulness or focused breathing, can help manage the impact of flashbacks and intense emotions. These techniques can offer a way to anchor yourself during moments of grief and bring a sense of calm and control.
      If you haven’t already, please consider seeking support from a professional who can provide you with tools and strategies tailored to your experiences.
      Kind Regards,
      David

    Hi David and Alex the power of acceptance what a great concept and teaching accepting things we cannot change about situations and being mature and spiritual enough to walk away or accept what it is that is happening and moving forward without the inner child controlling the narrative or our life.❤

    Narcissistic should not be taken lightly. It affects people’s lives. With that said, it’s okay to put a label on the behavior-the narcissist… it’s important to reflect on it and not repeat the pattern of the wrong doing or bad behavior. In time, you will heal and become a better version of yourself.

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  5 місяців тому

      Hi @jvon4965,
      Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Recognising and understanding narcissistic behavior is indeed crucial, as it can deeply impact lives. However, it's important to be cautious with labels, as they can sometimes lead us to adopt a victim mindset. Always be mindful of your inner strength and Shen spirituality, and never compromise yourself. Remember, you are the creator of your emotions, and reflecting on these experiences is a vital step toward personal growth and becoming a better version of yourself.

    Great comments. I never thought my problem person may be stuck in some loop which causes her to keep trying to control me.

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  6 місяців тому

      Hi @kenparsons9989,
      Thank you for your insight! Recognising that someone’s controlling behavior might stem from their own repetitive cycles or struggles can indeed shift how you perceive the situation. It’s a valuable perspective that can lead to a deeper understanding and perhaps a more compassionate approach towards resolving issues.
      Seeing the behavior as part of a 'loop' can help you detach somewhat from taking their actions personally and focus more on how you can interact with them effectively. You might consider setting clear boundaries or exploring ways to communicate that help interrupt these patterns.

    I agree, I've always, even when I was a kid, that the persons abusing me (parent, peer, etc.) had their own issues they never resolved (had no idea they had issues, tried unsuccessfully, knew but didn't give a shit). Same with my kids abusers (pastors/clergy, teachers, coaches, myself, their mom, family friends, etc.), like my oldest one's 5th/6th grade Vietnam vet green beret teacher. Yeah, issues....... however...... I don't give a shit what issues he, they had or have. It actually does go a very long way when a parent or authority, figure demonstrates true change, true turning radical from how they used to be and makes apologies and makes things right. It has a profound positive effect on the child who was abused like my kids and my change. But for those who ignorantly breeze (yes, I know, nobody "breezes" through life), yes breeze, through life with no regret or sense of guilt and sense of the need to make things right with those they've abused ...... fuck 'em. May the worst that could happen in this life happen to them. And I can believe, think, feel, and choose that attitude without missing a step in my own recovery. Don't dwell on it, but that's what should happen matter of factly.

      Hi Jamie,
      Thank you for sharing your experience so openly. I completely understand where you're coming from; it can be profoundly challenging to accept the hurt caused by those who were meant to protect and nurture us. In Wu Wei Wisdom, we focus on acknowledging our own journey and finding acceptance, rather than holding onto expectations of others changing or making amends. This shift can be empowering because it brings the focus back to what we can transform within ourselves.
      You’re right that genuine change can be incredibly meaningful, especially when someone who has caused harm takes responsibility and makes sincere efforts to improve. But, as you noted, not everyone takes this path. Letting go of the attachment to their accountability and choosing to focus on your own growth, like you’ve done, is a powerful choice.
      Wishing you continued strength and clarity on your path forward.
      Kind Regards,
      David

    I think though that we can be influenced by others!
    For the tender hearted amongst us we can suffer from the cruelty of others.
    Ive tried to harden my heart and mind but this would be like changing my personality and ignoring the hurt.
    My mother is a so called Christian who doesn't agree with anything I say with a one upmanship conversation all the time.
    Its just impossible.She will never change .I since learnt she has NPD and is very manipulative.
    I visit once every 2 weeks but maybe I should stop even that??

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  6 місяців тому

      Hi @rosiemac2538,
      It sounds like you're in a really challenging situation, and it's understandable to feel overwhelmed by such dynamics, especially with family. Trying to change your fundamental nature can indeed feel like denying a part of yourself. Remember, it’s important to protect your peace and well-being. Setting boundaries is not only about limiting contact but also about defining how you engage when you do interact, which might be beneficial in your situation.
      In situations where change in the other person seems unlikely, focusing on what you can control-your reactions and how much you let these interactions affect you-can be empowering. It might be helpful to explore some strategies for maintaining your balance and staying aligned with your Shen spirit when interacting with your mother.
      If the visits are causing you significant distress, it might be worth considering if less frequent contact would help preserve your well-being, at least while you work on strengthening your own emotional responses. Engaging in supportive communities, like our Wu Wei Wisdom community, might also provide additional support and perspective: [facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/](facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/).
