@@ianlopresti6066 nah sometimes you just can't go as high. Some days your voice isn't as elastic and won't let you. She probs figured out she was able to reach it during the performance, then hit it again cos she knew she was able to
Thanks for putting “Up To The Mountain.” By far her best performance IMO. Jeff Beck said when she hit that note you could hear the crowd gasp, and in the video you can hear the spontaneous applause. She’s in a league of her own this one.
Literally everything she sang on that Nashville Night of Hope in 2012, she gave 110% to! “You Still Won’t Know What it’s Like” and “I’m Not the Only One” are still 2 of my favorite songs and performances by her This is separate, but her performance of Carrie Underwood’s “I Know You Won’t” on VH1 (I think also 2012) was also absolutely out of this world
There was an acoustic live performance of Hazel Eyes where she sang that high note that she sang in the studio version at the end of the bridge part "no I don't cry on the outside anymore". That was so AMAZING, my mind was blown. I don't know why doesn't she sing that high note every time she performs that song.
She had two. VH1 is one. The other, which is the best version, is the Napster performance. Her tone was beautiful and perfect. She hit it perfectly without strain or nasality.
As a vocalist there are days you wake up and you can feel that it's there and you can feel that it's not. You warm up if it's still not there you pull back the note.
@@beachfanatic2010 I’ve always seen everyone say she’s a mezzo with an extended range, kinda like Beyoncé. Although, yeah, after she quit smoking in the late 00s-early 10s, her range really extended and people started questioning if she was a soprano
@@rhettmitchell Pink and Beyonce are both sopranos. Mezzos are very rare in opera. Real mezzos are. What makes people think that they have mezzos in pop when they are so rare in classical music. There are very few mezzos in pop and I would say Cher and Gladys Knight are real mezzo voices.
It seems like you don't know the difference between a belt and a scream. Never heard Kelly scream I've actually never even seen her strain vocally. That note in alone Carrie Underwood has to put all of her effort into and it's effortless for Kelly.
"I didn't know if that was gonna come out" *proceeds to hit the note again*
Yeah the lie detector determined THAT was a lie. She knew she had that 😂😂 cute tho

I like that u can tell she developed her singing style based on all different types of music ! This woman truly has soul
She is so good, I love her. And the last clip gets me every time. I don't know what she ate that day, but she was on fire.
When I read this at the beginning of the video (this is the top comment btw), I know it's gonna be "The Trouble with Love is" performance.
Damn, she's so good!
That Miss Independent @ AOL has got to be my all time favorite!

That voice reminds me of Joplin. My ears love everything that comes out of Kelly Clarkson.

She is so sweet, cute, great mom, talented, a Super Woman. Like Reba, Adele, Cher, Celine, Pink, Miley, an Icon. A woman for our girls to look up too.

yes, VH1 from 2005. epic vocal moment

@@googleinc339 3 times she hit it :) in a even late 2004
Probably to save her voice

I was not ready for that
1:12 she’s got some crazy harmonics going on there
Yeah I think that was some polyphonic stuff there
Omg literally all the ones I was hope to be in here are !! Omg wow new fav channel x
04:24 that note 😱
And the sweet little innocent "thank you" like she didn't just killed the whole audience right after that. You just have to love her
Nice voice 👋👋🎶🎶
i didn't know she cover Sia's Breathe Me. WOW
She has a awesome voice
I love her so fucking much
Hugo Kelly you go
2:36 incredible!!!!
She's like a soprano p!nk. I love them both
Except Pink is also a true and real soprano with thicker cords but still a real soprano.

Awesome. Could use some clips of her State of Shock duet with Robin Thicke or Get Ready with all the Duets coaches.
Also parts of You Don’t Know Me with John Legend and More Than Words with the Voice coaches.
Am I dead? Did I just die and go to Heaven???! ❤❤❤
She's forgot she was human...Amazing voice
Her face at 1:34 during the video transition tho 😅
Sometimes she screams or over sings but she is a very strong vocalist so she doesn't need to do all that vocal gymnastics.

And Adele does vocal gymnastics Kelly does runs also different things
