  • Recent studies have shown that following the Mediterranean diet can reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. This diet emphasizes eating foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish and olive oil.     As Professor Dr. Durval Ribas Filho, nutrologist and president of ABRAN, Associação Brasileira de Nutrologia, stated in this interview with Simples Assim, the Mediterranean diet can be beneficial for brain health, especially to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. He highlighted that this diet is based on fresh, natural and healthy foods, which provide important nutrients for the proper functioning of the body.
