- Philadelphia police are investigating after a crowd of juveniles ransacked a Wawa in the city's Mayfair section Saturday night.
It happened around 8:22 p.m. at the store located on the 7000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police say officers arrived on the scene and observed roughly 100 juveniles causing damage to the store.
No injuries were reported, but residents Action News spoke with expressed outrage over the incident.

These are juveniles, they have camera footage. You go to the local schools, use school staff and student ID photos to identify them, and you hold them and their parents responsible. Restitution should be paid, and all involved should be put on probation.

Restitution should be paid, but that would present a problem. I'm sure their parents (mother) will plead they are poor and in need of more assistance than she is getting. The local news will spin the story that she is a victim and now evil folks like the franchise owner, are trying to make her pay money she doesn't have. Not only that, but her kid is an angel and if there was any damage - it was those other kids.
Expecting justice in this case could get complicated. I suggest we just make the punishment fit the crime. Community service: Pick up all the litter in their neighborhood. That will be a forever assignment, as more is being added all the time. Either that or give them a parachute and drop them in Russia.

I have not stopped in several businesses not just Wawa but fast food restaurants and box stores in areas where you could clearly see there were a lot of people that shouldn't be there just looking to pray on anyone
It's not hard to figure out which areas are not safe and every business that is in one of these places needs to shut down and move because there are plenty of places where it is safe where we can use another store
There are three Wawa's within 4 MI of where I am and they are all busy 24 hours a day and they are all safe and I've never felt uncomfortable in any of those
But when I was just in a region just north of Philadelphia there was not a single business I could stop at where I felt safe
At one of the fast food restaurants there were a dozen people just hanging around inside talking to the people working behind the register and I saw customers waiting for their orders to be taken and they didn't take their orders and just kept talking and the people standing there that weren't buying anything started sizing up the customers and I felt that at any second something lethal was going to happen and I pulled out of the parking lot without even looking to see if there was traffic coming because I was that afraid and I'm a big guy and if I'm afraid I can't imagine what it must be like for a 90 lb woman that has to go in one of these places
I have been saying we need martial law for years like China did to restore Law and Order and arrest all of the terrorists that are praying on businesses and upstanding hard-working lower class and middle class people
