I went for a Christmas holiday a few years back. It was unbelievably cold but the rugged locals seemed perfectly comfortable. Made me feel wimpy. 😂
That's why I'm stunned Six Flags New England's Holiday in the Park failed. People didn't come out for that one. But people flock to Edaville even in the snow.
I've actually lived in CA for 30 years, but grew up in that area. You get thick skin and after a few weeks, the cold doesn't bother you as much.
A dark ride, unique water ride, & Go Karts getting half built but never finished? Agh, BRUTAL!
Kersplash from the PNW & that dark ride would've been game changing for this park.
The train, 2 family coasters, & unique monorail/Dinosaur land walkthru/Dickens Main St make this park stand out IMO
It really is unfortunate they were spread thin rather than finishing any one of those projects.
Looks like a beautiful park. I love to see and hear a coal fired steam locomotive.
Agreed, you don’t see coal or wood fired engines at parks much anymore, mainly oil burning. I have seen a few coal fired engines tho including the Pere Marquette 1225
Fun fact about Kersplash, it also came to the San Diego County Fair back in 1996!
I have one big question, what will become of the thomas replica that was used here for thomas land? Was it scrapped? Is it gonna travel again? Was it returned to strasburg?
The 2ft gauge Thomas dummy unit is owned by Strasburg, possibly in storage till it is needed again. It does travel to other 2 ft gauge railroads.
9:22 They should've kept the engines and had them rethemed to Edaville's engines
There’s something similar like 2 hours and 30 minutes away from me that also has a few rides, one coaster but they do have a scrambler the place is called the tweetsie railroad they also have a train that takes approximately 20 minutes to complete its layout, the train has a scene including a tiki hut which has some crazy stunts, they also do have a Thomas special thing where they put a Thomas train in front of the locomotive, be careful the train whistle is loud
@@CanobieCoaster it’s a great place I heard they got a SBF visa spinner a few months ago but I haven’t been in around 16 years
Unfortunalty Dino Land will no linger be opened as the Dinasors got completely destroyed during the time we were closed during the Pandemic
Are you a fellow antiquer? I've been a fan since the 7th grade and I started off with believe it or not Christmas Decorations.
as someone who hates Christmas
Even if you don't like Christmas, the lights at this park are beautiful.
Why did I read the title to the tune of hank Williams jr family tradition?
What's wrong with having single riders in the scrambler?
This isn't the first park I've seen ban single riders on scramblers. Casino Pier and a few other places do it too.
While it doesn't have amusement rides, the Strasburg Railroad near Lancaster, PA, is somewhat similar to Edaville. You have a railroad museum and train rides on America's oldest continuously operating railroad. They also have various special events.
I've heard good things about that place.
