      You are essentially working out. If you work out a muscle that doesn’t get used very often it gets sore. So yes this is normal. It will go away after the muscle is healed. Soreness tells me you are doing it correctly and the soreness will lessen the stronger you get.

    Hello, dear Dr. Michelle, I hope this message finds you well. In your videos, you have discussed two ways to perform Kegel exercises correctly. The first method involves shortening the penis, halting urination, and stopping the release of gas from the anus. The second method focuses on shortening the penis and stopping urination. I would like to clarify which approach is considered correct. In the second case, you did not mention the aspect of stopping the release of gas from anus. Could you please provide further guidance on this matter? Thank you very much.

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  8 місяців тому

      @user-zr8cu8sm3x This is a great question, thank you! The technique and focus should reflect the aim of the treatment. I need to make a video on this to clarify! Focus on shortening the penis and stopping the flow for bladder control/continence and sexual function. Focus on the anus as well with bowel problems such as bowel incontinence, loss of gas. I hope this explains, please let me know, and thank you❤️

    _Michelle_ , what's missing from this continued series of 'male enhancement' vids here on YT by you, is the definition of the particular form/symptom of ED a gent may suffer from. First off, the three stateside med sites I follow are Webmd, Mayo Clinic + Cleveland Clinic. Kegels will not help a flaccid or semi-erect penis after EBRT.
    It may help with dribbling; unlikely to aid loose bowels after any of the 4 major forms of invasive intervention for PC. Walking, running and squats already firm up the pelvic floor. 'Sides, it's only young 'uns who suffer from premature ejaculation. The 3 sites mentioned above, concur. At least young 'uns can still get it off. hahaha
    ***If you really want to end ED in men, then suggest our natural diet, whole plant foods {read no/low processed ones!} with no/low added SOS, aka salt, oil & sugar. Industrial animal agriculture is the chief destructive force of human habitat and the biosphere we call E-air-th. Our biology was never designed to process animal foods. As Dr. Kim Williams, past president of the American Cardiology Association famously stated: "There are two kinds of cardiologists; vegans and those who haven't read the literature." That's the peer-reviewed {gold standard} science, milady.

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  Рік тому +2

      @jage48 thanks so much for your though provoking comment. First of all, interesting info on diet and ED thankyou. This is something worth looking into further under the banner of lifestyle changes. Re Kegels and ED after EBRT the jury is out as we don't have the research. 2 previous studies have shown that Kegels combined with biofeedback improved erectile function post radical prostatectomy Prosta et al )2012) and Lin et al (2012). To date there are no studies to my knowledge with long term pre and post op Kegels exercises for ED in the radiation therapy/prostatectomy group. We do know that pre and post op Kegels reduce bladder leakage faster after radical prostatectomy thanks to recent research (Milios et al 2020). Thank you for taking the time and for you intersting comment and contrubution 🙏

      @@michellephysio _Michelle_ , I underwent EBRT 9 years ago. This means that I have become part of the 50% survival cohort after the initial 5 years. I was fully discharged after 4 years. The desire for physical contact within a loving relationship is an integral part of our humanity and never disappears.
      I told my oncologist at the time of discharge, that PC as a lifestyle disease, was primarily caused by what's on the fork. He stated: “I'm beginning to see that now.” We do not see the incidence of PC in African countries that do not follow the rich Western diet; the same one destroying the Amazon rainforest, plus our flora and fauna.
      The reason ED, cancers, diabetes, etc., are termed lifestyle diseases, is that there is something in our environment vastly beyond gene designation, that triggers these diseases. It's something we do 3X/each day. Eating. I've written 'bout this extensively some years ago and the chapter can be found in the blog under my name; John Gabriel Otvos. ED has another meaning, aka Early Death. 'Tis the same blood that circulates and touches every cell in our body, even our brains, read dementia. The endothelium has been compromised and no longer secretes nitric oxide to speed blood flow, plugged by saturated fats and refined vegetable oils, even coconut fats.
      If you look at the paleo archaeology and the archeo-chemistry, it's mostly plants that are found in cave faecal samples. We are traditionally referred to as hunter gatherers; however, in my estimation, we were gatherer hunters. The critters were mostly too big and too fast for us. A few biological points are vital here.
      *humans have no tearing claws or ripping teeth
      *we have a long digestive tract intended to extract nutrients from plants
      *true carnivores have an in-out digestion
      *true carnivores do not need to cook the flesh they eat
      *humans make all the cholesterol they need
      *true carnivores do not make cholesterol, therefore, they need to eat flesh
      *humans are the only primates to produce alpha-amylase, an enzyme in our saliva designed to predigest chewed plant food, before it mixes in the pot called our stomach, then heads further south
      It is primarily the ingestion of animal foods that incubate PC in men and breast cancer in women over decades, as both are reproductive and sexual organs. The best person to identify much of this is the tireless stateside physician Dr. Michael Greger. He can be found at his free website of nutritionfacts.org It's all peer-reviewed stuff, the gold standard in science.
      Michelle, thanks so very much for all you do. I've been subscribing, listening and practising these kegels and other physio 'adjustments' for several years as taught by you. Blessings, milady!

    Just talking about these exercises is not enough. We need to actually see this, no matter how graphic it may be.
    My penis is not as sensitive and does not get erections without stimulation. I highly doubt my pelvic floor has anything to do with this but in order to humor this, i need to see what i need to do exactly.
    I am already losing patience and interest in even trying this. This is a dog and pony show.
    Urology has Absolutely no idea what causes erectile dysfunction and how to fix it. So they give us these absurd exercises. Smh

    • @RC-wz9vw
      @RC-wz9vw 8 місяців тому

      nobody cares if you're losing patience, because it's working for tons of men. If you don't know how to put your finger on your taint, contract, and feel the muscle flex, then you should probably find a pelvic floor therapist in person, not threaten a youtuber who has NO obligation to you

    • @RC-wz9vw
      @RC-wz9vw 8 місяців тому

      not to mention, your ED can be linked to a lot of psychological issues. Not a one size fits all. Figure your health out by inspecting your whole life, not making some sort of all or nothing on a youtube video.
