African American here, my dad says we have Blackfoot in our family line as he’s from South Carolina. He has no way of proving this and sometimes he makes things up, but you are a beautiful people. Keep your traditions going. Peace & Blessings. ✊🏽

I'm white with Blackfoot and German. Raised by Cherokee love the drum. The music and dance is beautiful and all the work that goes into the bead work and clothes is awesome. I used to love going to the pow wows.

My tribe, my culture, my roots. So fucking b e a u t i f u l. I'm so proud of where I came from. I may have never grew up on Siksika but I visit often and despite being born and growing up in Vancouver, standing on my Native soil gives me a full sense of home.

I might not be full blooded Blackfoot. But my family stems from the rez in browning,MT. My grandfather comes from there. His mother was Blackfoot and his father was a fella from Norway. I stayed in Montana majority of my life and was able to experience lots of powwows in northern Montana. They might not except me bc of my skin. But I will always show true appreciation to them and to the great creator.

My father was a member of the tribe. I never learned much about my heritage on his side of the family and only memories I have with him are him bringing me to powwows as a small child. When this came across my watch list hearing it made me cry a bit

My dad is Blackfoot native American my mom is European. My mom has blonde hair blue eyes and really pale skin. My dad has brown skin brown eyes and black hair. I have blonde hair tan skin and brown eyes. But my face features are more reminiscent of my dad's. Everybody always thinks I'm white and something else or something else with dyed hair. Where I live everybody's racist in fact just 2 weeks ago a kid said that he was better than me and my friend because he had lighter skin and we were darker than him. 😭 🤷🏽‍♀️

They are showing you they need to be like that to feel better. The best comeback is your own success. Work hard on you. Learn both your cultures. And worry about your own success.

These ol style songs are mostly straight songs meaning that they are sung in vocals. The only time they have lyrics, is when they put they're own native language in it. Thought I'd help yall out💯🎶

      Sure wouldn’t, myself.
My greatx3 grandmother was Blackfoot. Married a Jewish man. He was racist, bc of course, typical. They had 17 children. One, being my greatx2 grandmother married a black man, and left because she wasn’t up to dealing with the racism. It’s so sad. Some people really don’t accept their family.
