Hopefully, that person is okay and hopefully, they were taught a valuable lesson to not run out into the road on a green light
Kent audit complaining about a police car going through an amber light whilst stopping in a cycle box!
Two things. Firstly, entering an ASL is nowhere near as big an issue as crossing a red light, risking an accident. Secondly, cops should be held to a *higher standard* than regular people.
@@fredmercury1314 Firstly the car went through an amber light, secondly we do not know if the police were on a call, they do not always use blue lights. And everybody should have the same standards whilst driving regardless of occupation.
@@raty1963 Amber means stop if it's safe. Anyone regardless of occupation should know that.
@@jakelewis8440 Suppose you were driving a large vehicle such as a bus towards a light, as soon as the front of your large heavy vehicle touches the arrow on the road the light turns amber. Do you slam your brakes on, leaving the front half of your vehicle across a junction and risk the safety of yourself, your passengers and other road users or do you continue on?
@@redacted4246 That's why I said "if it's safe". It would have been safe in the clip in the video.
Hitting a pedestrian even if it’s an accident is my worst driving nightmare 😔
Honestly, if it were their own fault, I'd just be annoyed about the damage to my car. There's a reason the Darwin Award exists. It's not my burden to bear if a fool gets themselves perished. There's too much to carry for everyone else already, without having to carry fools.
"OHHHH Bad officer"
then stops in the cycle box.........
Both the pedestrian and driver have a lot to learn after that accident. Neither showed any hazard perception with an unsurprising consequence.
What hazard? Green light mean GO, pedestrians should stop or get smashed like the twat we saw flying above =))
@@cristianmarcel If I saw vehicles not moving despite a green light, I'd assume there was a hazard.
1:44 The pedestrian crossed the road. What a monster.
I know right. Total non event but some people like to try to make a something out of a nothing.
Can't see the point of viewer discretion warnings when the video gets blurred out anyway
That was a shocker, all drivers and riders need to see this, we are human, I hope the person was OK but I doubt they did not need to go to hospital.
OLEVIN, please do not sit behind the wheel ever again…EVER!
I can't believe that he was complaining about the driver in the left lane, all the time closing the gap between him and the car, making it more difficult for the car in the first lane to overtake the cyclist. Bumbass.
Great video as always 👍
Some scary stuff 😳
Keep it up
Omg that first clip had my heart in my throat. I hope they were ok😮
That Mustang is the most ridiculous looking thing(not just car)that i think ive ever seen.
Thanks Gadget Meister Uk 🚘👍
Boy I used to watch and think OMG such bad drivers over there.
Then someone made a "Bad drivers of Vancouver B.C." Sud😮deny you guys don't look so bad! Lol.😂
5:44 that's a STOP sign aswell, how funny.
Ooohh.... an out of season input from Trevor 🦃 means one thing only..... @Bones probably used a naughty word or two 😂😂😂
Some shocking input; disclaimer appreciated. ref: intro clip and a longer piece of footage. I refrain from speculation as to how this occurred - or why - as the Viewer was there to give a valid opinion on this incident 😮.
Glad to note that your Dashcam giveaway to @KentAudit is now paying dividends. But what does a dividend pay these days? Ohh - a feature on this Matinée lol.
Regarding his 2nd clip - no plate on the M/bike indicates STOLEN or used by people that distribute certain illegal substances 😢.
Great content as always.
Kent audit uk needs to get a grip
The name "audit" explains a lot. Yet to meet an auditor whos not just looking to cause trouble.
0:05 That's not how you cross a road.
5:19 Whilst the pedestrian did not follow the rules of the Highway Code the driver could have acted differently. When approaching pedestrian crossings where your lane is void of traffic and the other lane is about to move off it seems prudent to me to allow lane 1 traffic to drive through the pedestrian area before haring past. You cannot see through the vehicle in lane 1 which will all ways obscure things sometimes crucial things.
Oh dear, the space saver,... a chap up the road from me drove with a space saver on his Saab for months, until one day I noticed the wreck of his Saab on his drive, with the front all smashed in. Not sure if it failed, or if he just couldn't brake in time due to lack of traction. Anyway, let it be a cautionary tale, use the space saver to limp to a tyre place and get some proper rubber fitted asap.
5:37 - just after that person gets run over, the ‘like this video’ icon appeared ! Could have been better placed as I can’t think why ANYONE would like seeing someone run over !
Thanks for the warning GM, what was that ped thinking? Never mind the driver
The driver was travelling far to fast considering they were approaching a crossing that was just turning from red to green. They should have slowed down and anticipated pedestrians may still be crossing, if they had then this could easily have been avoided. They'll most likely be found at fault for this.
That was indeed a shocking moment to witness in Sheffield. Any update as to the persons condition. Did the cars brake lights not come on for ages after the impact? Blame for incident would surely fall on the pedestrian in this case but to speed past a stationary car at a pedestrian crossing, even on a green light is at best very risky. Hopefully all that have seen this clip will think about safety at crossings more, pedestrians and drivers alike. All the best.
@@linny919 Incorrect. 100% of the blame lies on *the adult crossing the road* like a moron. Also, if you rewatch the clip, what you'll see is that car start to move as the lights change, and then abruptly stop as the pedestrian runs out in front of them. They absolutely did not wave anyone across.
Hey. It'll get mentioned when my own video goes out with it (end of June). The person suffered a broken leg and various bruising which I was told by the Merc driver when he asked for the footage. The Merc did brake pretty quickly IMO given the timing of the situation. I'll note that the road is a 40mph, and my camera has a polarising filter (the sunlight was pretty strong). We spent AN HOUR waiting for the ambulance, on a damp road with a decent wind blowing to boot. Given that I was only a witness, I do tend to keep an eye out at junctions anyway, but especially nowadays. As for blame, if it does go further I'll say what happens.
@@DashCamSheffield Thank you for the update will look out for your own. An hour for an Ambulance is really shocking especially when they talk of that Golden hour in terms of chances of making a full recovery or even to be kept alive. It really took my breath away even though I knew what was coming and reminded me of many similar scenes I've seen where people have been turned into nothing more than rag dolls flying through the air. Could so easily have been a fatality.
Gm, looking for a good new camera, both front and back. What do you recommend?
Personally, I like Nextbase cameras, but it rather depends on your budget as they are not the cheapest options on the market.
I use 2x Nextbase 622GW’s so I get 4K @ 30fps front and back, but that’s expensive!
But I do that so that I have max quality front and back, but then I’m literally after the best quality all the time for the channel.
Most cameras have a reasonable resolution on the front…… until you connect the rear camera which then instantly reduces the resolution of the front camera 🤦🏼♂️
Ultimately, it depends on your budget and what you want from your dash cam 🤷🏼♂️
If you just want a decent camera on the front and an average one on the back, then the 522GW bundle is hard to beat -

Excellent video as always.
Problem with lane 1? Too many slow drivers use it, that's why they sit in lane 2 doing 75% of the posted limit. 🤣
Kent audit, you struggled to stop before the lights yourself, if the police slam the brakes on, youll be in his boot
9.30 - Do Unicycles not have to obey Red lights?
Ah Kent audit I mean Kent 🔔🔚
0:30 what's the issue?
Amber doesn't mean continue if you can, it means stop if you can safely, which he definitely could.
just to let people know that they are as bad a driver as the police, by stopping in the cycle area.
@@sirnoob_1503 judging by where the van/cammer stopped, I disagree. They couldn't even stop before the ASL and had way more time to react.
@@sirnoob_1503 Plod was rushing back to the Canteen before the 🍩🍩 Doughnuts ran out lol.
So did the rag doll survive?
0:58 Should've banged on the side of their car and then accused them of hitting you.
That was a great clip. hope the ped is injured enough to use his 1 brain cell, next time and cross when his side is green not red. dub ass
Bones, Upper up is narrow at the best of times without numpties wandering.
How bloody ridiculous to put a warning of a 'shocking scene' and then blur the damn thing out. Censorship for this was utterly unnecessary, there are vids on YT of people being run over by trains for god's sake. I do not like being bullshitted so have removed you from YT recommending any more of your content.
There are rules on UA-cam that creators must abide by, something that you clearly have no interest in, but hey, that’s not YOUR problem right?!
You’re watching a video that meets the guidelines set out by UA-cam as appropriate for me to keep the minuscule revenue stream from the adverts that UA-cam will publish as part of your feed. That tiny little revenue is what helps us as creators pay for what we need to keep our channels going, but again, that’s not YOUR issue right?!
I appreciate that you may not like the censored version, but given that UA-cam’s content policy dictates it should be blurred and the fact that this is still a *CURRENT POLICE INVESTIGATION* so it HAS TO BE BLURRED, then I have to respect the platform’s rules and the content submitter’s decision to blur the footage. Again, none of this factored into your decision to jump up and down and whinge about YOUR issue about footage being blurred right?!
Well, if the above moral obligations placed upon me as a creator, the submitter on legal grounds, and UA-cam as a platform offends your morality, then by all means don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out! 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🙋🏼♂️
You sound like a bit of a sadist, Jeff. Why would you even want to see any more than what you did?
Shame you even had to explain all that. Some people. It's UA-cam for crying out loud. Snuff videos probably aren't allowed I'm guessing.
@@carlstyth8368 UHUH 🤷🏼♂️
UA-cam constantly change the rules of what's acceptable from month to month, it might be okay one month, and another they'll pull your entire channel. He was really just covering his bases with this IMO.
