The Swiss Family Robinson is one of my favorite childhood books! I read it so many times. It’s one I’m looking forward to sharing with my kids. The book club sounds like so much fun! I’m glad it’s been going so well 😊
I have missed you and your videos! Thank you for doing this video, and for all your great recommendations! My boys are loving the " Rush Revere" books right now.😁
Been busy here too. I want to read angelas book. I watched hilbilly elegy, not read the booksbut it was inspiring, even as a Canadian. Definitely any bridge or santa craft would work for family under the bridge. It takes place in france so anything french too.
This was fun and I loved all of your book suggestions! Will definitely be adding them to my list! I have been prioritizing read-alouds with my children this year, and it's so good! Even though it can be hard to do with a 1 and 3 yr old, it's still one of the best parts of our homeschool/bedtime. Reading the book The Read Aloud Family, really inspired me. For bedtime with the kids we have been reading the Mercy Watson series, and we have all loved it!!! We're still working on it. For myself I've been reading You're Teenager Is Not Crazy ( which I actually heard of from you), and also No Longer Little by Hal and Melanie Young. They're both really good so far! 😊❤
I am reading Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot.I have Love Without Borders but I haven’t managed to read it yet. I may need to add that to the top of my to be read list. Our read aloud right now is The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street and we are loving it! I am hoping to read Heartwood Hotel afterwards. I’ve wanted to go through that series with my kiddos and haven’t managed it yet 🤪 We are also Listening to Ember Rises (from the Green Ember series) on audiobook during car rides. I can’t recommend the Green Ember Series enough! We absolutely love it! Though if your kids are sensitive to things like battles and loss it may not be the book for you. My kids are 6 & 7 and they are always asking to listen. Especially my 6 year old.
You should totally add it to your list! I loved it. My husband and I loved The Vanderbeekers. For whatever reason our kids couldn’t get into it. I want ti try again with them in a year or so. I have a few of the Green Ember series. We need to start them!
We’ve had a busy life so I definitely understand the break!!! We miss our friends in our old area but we love our new location but we came into a community so this move was easier!!! I love the book club area!!! My teenagers go to the local coffee shop for poetry!!! They started it!!! We love around the world In 80 days!!! I love the movie more than my kids!!! A Faith like my own reminds me of my childhood and my older kids know this story!!! My younger kids are hearing little bits as I want to tell them I’m an age appropriate way!!! Ur book club idea sounds awesome!!! We get state funding for books including faith books!!! I’m trying to listen to the 8 great smarts but it’s taking me forever!!! I love autobiographies and my teenagers also do!!! I’ve seen god work in my adopted teenagers!!! I’ve only had them for under a yr!!!

Awww thank you 💕 I think I’ve heard of those but haven’t looked into them yet. I’ll have to see if my son would like them

That’s amazing! I pray he continues His mighty work in them 🙏 I still need to finish that book too!
Never feel bad when you cant post videos as often as you would hope. You and your family should always come first ❤❤❤
💕 thank you
I'm thinking I've seen a simplified version of a lot of the classics, including Treasure Island 🤔
Is it the Classic Starts version?
@@HomegrownHomeschool It is! I think the newer covers look neater though! We've not read any of them yet, but they're on our wishlist.
Loved Hillbilly Elegy not political at all
It was so good!
