Hello Gary, I had a quick story for you. My dad and I have been watching your videos together for about 4 years or so up until recently, we live in Alaska and have been prospecting and mining for years in Washington state and Idaho, Montana and up here in Alaska and dad had been mining in California back in the 70's and 80's with his friends. Sadly, on March 23rd we lost my dad, he enjoyed watching your videos, especially the crevicing and highbanking videos and where you were flown in by heli. I had many, many great adventures with the old man, riding shotgun in his old Chevy. Just wanted to share this memory with you, watching your videos with him was a memory I'll never forget and I just wanted to say Thank you for all the great videos and for your service. Sincerely, David (Dad was Dave Jr, Grandpa Ruffle was his channel name.)
His memory and his legacy will live on through you. That's the cycle of life! Until my son was born and I Saw My Father's eyes in him. I didn't have a clue until then. I hope you find a big nugget!
Your final message of containing the high banker discharge water was great 👍 . Consideration for the land the river and others down stream . Well said , nice video

Good morning ! I think you are right about that spot being their sluice box tailings. That was quit a bit of gold and black sand for a small area. Stay cool out there! 🍦
Great job on this video Gary and a Jeff! It’s fun to see you changing it up once in a while. That bedrock keeps providing, time and time again! Have an amazing “golden summer.”
Hot damn buddy...back to that 2 gram rut! But almost 3!!!!! Im telling you...this is gonna be an epic summer for you! I feel some big nuggets headed your way! Great job Gary!
Been hot kind of early this year. I've been up in the High country and the snow is 99% gone, but I got turned back by a 2 ft diameter tree fallen across the road at one place. Other locations are open. You should not have too much trouble getting into the Hydro pits. So when are you me and Jeff going to meet up in those high country goldfields?
Gary I love your videos and you can surely find the gold, that’s a great day. A tip you and others can follow which works for me with a Garrett Super Sluice pan. Panning the way you did indeed the light flour gold wants to escape with the water. I use the deep ridges with my pan almost perpendicular to the water. Shaking and letting the water work it pulls almost exclusively the black sand out and leaving only the gold, or very little black sand. I’m surprised with all the gold prospecting videos that nobody uses that way of panning. Makes it much easier to view the gold
That is awesome Gary. I didn’t expect that much to come out of there. And I loved hearing about the water levels 🤩🤩🤩. I’ll be down that way soon for some sniping.
Fantastic gold Gary! What a lovely sight to see on the scales! Hope you can have some more summertime fun as the water levels drop! Thanks always for your informative videos and sharing your love of prospecting.
😳 well holy cow over 2.5 grams in about 15 pans is excellent 🤩 with the fines I bet your at 3grams….. that’s a heck of a spot I think I’d bring some braces for the high banker so it doesn’t tip over and use a piece of 6 inch pipe going down the hill into the highbanker box so you don’t have to carry material down the hill and can feed it faster and take the whole hill side lololol great video bummer it was to hot and hopefully no one finds your spot. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼p.s. I know it’s more stuff(pipe) to Carry in but I think it would be worth it
The Ice Cream sandwich In the labyrinthine depths of a newly found sprawling cave system, Gary, a seasoned adventurer, took a moment and enjoyed an ice cream sandwich. As he savored each icy bite, a sense of tranquility washed over him while he worked . In the remote and rugged hills of the Yuba River, Gary an intrepid gold miner, had toiled tirelessly for years. His hopes had dwindled with each fruitless excavation, but he refused to give up. One fateful day, as he delved deeper into his mine, his pick struck something hard and unyielding. With trembling hands, he chipped away at the rock, revealing a glistening vein of pure gold. Excitement surged through his veins as he realized he had finally struck it rich. But as he continued his excavation, he stumbled upon something far more astonishing. A narrow opening appeared in the mine wall, revealing a labyrinthine cave system meandering through the mountain. Curiosity overcame Gary , and he cautiously entered the darkness. As he ventured deeper into the caves, the air grew heavy with an eerie silence. Suddenly, a faint scratching sound echoed through the darkness. He froze, his heart pounding in his chests. Slowly, he turned his head, and his eyes widened in terror, just as he was about to indulge in the final morsel of his treat his gaze was drawn to a towering presence in the looming darkness before him. Its form was massive and shadowy, its eyes glowing an eerie crimson in the dim light. Sharp, menacing teeth were bared in a menacing snarl, revealing a creature unlike anything Gary had ever encountered. Fear propelled him backward as he stumbled through the treacherous tunnels, desperate to escape the clutches of this formidable beast. Its heavy footsteps pounded relentlessly behind him, echoing through the narrow passages. Gary dodged and weaved with lightning reflexes, his body aching from exhaustion. Finally, he reached a dead end. The creature was closing in, its hot breath searing the back of his neck. In a moment of desperation, Gary remembered his remaining ice cream sandwich. With all his might, he hurled it at the beast's massive head. The frozen treat struck with a sickening thud, sending the creature crashing to the ground. Gary stared in disbelief at the unconscious beast. He had somehow managed to subdue this terrifying monster with a simple ice cream sandwich. As the creature stirred, Gary stood motionless, his heart pounding in his chest. To his astonishment, the beast began to lick the melting ice cream around its snout. It seemed to relish the sweet treat, its ferocity melting away with each lick. Realizing he had gained the creature's favor, Gary cautiously approached. As long as he had ice cream, he had nothing to fear. With a newfound sense of companionship, he named the beast Jeff. From that day forward, Gary and Jeff embarked on countless adventures together, their bond forged by the unlikely treat that had saved Gary's life. And so, the tale of Gary and his ice cream-loving companion Jeff became a legend whispered among adventurers who dared to venture into the uncharted depths of the unknown ** Unfinished ** ✌️

Great video! Doesn't California make you do a NOI to use a highbanker? In Utah and Idaho I have to submit an NOI to the forest Service or BLM depending on where I'm highbanking. I would assume California being a libtard state would require a permit.
