My grand dad wasn't a deer hunter, but enjoyed his quail hunting. I was honored to go with him a few times before his health kept him home. He also was quite the fisherman. I can remember going with him to the lake, standing right next to him with the exact same jigs on my line, and watching him catch fish after fish while I came up empty! Dang, I miss him...
I'm a southern Confederate rebel from Tennessee and don't usually like Yankees but Billy Molls you're a cool dude. I'd love to meet you sometime. I've learned a lot from your videos. God bless you my brother
Synonym; “Confederate Rebel”, See; LOSER, Racist. 😂 🤡 Pathetic to be proud of a brutal war fought over enslaving a race of people, needlessly killing almost three quarters of a million men. To be proud of the LOSING SIDE at that. 😂 You’re an idiot. And definitely not Christian. God didn’t want humans to be treated like those slaves were, in that century. The real Confederate flag is the White Flag of Surrender. Losers. FOH
@wioutdoorsman5547 well I don't know how well read you are on the civil war but we finally arrived at what is known as the great compromise which is when the South said it's probably best that the union not be divided and the north said that the South fought bravely for a cause in which it believed and we can live with that and that works for us
This was such a beautiful episode. I loved hearing your story. Sharing about your grandfather and even your dad was really special. Congratulations Charlie on your very first deer. You did amazing
My Deer hunting days with my father, brother and all my Uncles and cousins went to deer camp in the Uinta mountains in Utah for Mule deer ! So many great times with my family !! My first buck was a 4X4 29 inch spread ! I was 16 years old and he was the biggest buck taken in camp that year out of 18 hunters !!! He is mounted on my wall next to my 5X7 31 inch buck that is bladed front !!! I sure miss those days !!! Now I am 60 and my dad and all my uncles have past away ! Great memories ! Love your videos Billy ! Keep it up !!! Every hunt we had we always said a prayer 🙏🏿 for safety for success for all Families !!!!
I always enjoy your shows! I have been remembering the first hunt I was on with my Grandpa in Wyoming. In a few days I will be taking my Grandson on his first hunt here in Montana. The connections built in the out doors and lessons learned seem to transcend many others! God Bless you all.
When I get out in the woods hunting I always feel relaxed and peaceful like I’m where I’m supposed to be doing what I’m supposed to. Hunting and being in nature is, I don’t know instinctual for lack of a better term. It’s like part of my being just woke up and I get really focused but completely relaxed and all the stress is gone. It’s so much more than going out and shooting an animal. That tiny part of it doesn’t even matter for me.
Really awesome video and welcome home. My 8 yo daughter wants to deer hunt with me this year and looking forward to it, definitly good learning to make sure I get her some easy over the head hearing protection. Those blinds really make the sound echo. .243 suppressed might be a good entry option.
“Da Turdy Point Buck” Is QUITE popular here in North Central/Northern Minnesota Billy!! Our local radio station plays it on Rifle opener eve/weekend. I remember shooting my first deer on a BRISK -16f November morning. My finger had frostbite from the ice cold steel receiver on the Marlin 30-30 I was shooting. I’ll Never forget it.
Remember the days across the northern states, when deer season rolled around and there was frost on the fields, every deer hunter wore their Woolwich plaid hunting jacket. And in New York we were required to wear our hunting license exposed on our backs. This was before bright red clothing and flouresent reds, and yellows. And before muzzle loading rifles and bow hunting became so popular. Had to use only a shotgun with single ball or slugs - shot many deer with 'em. too.

Moose Junction had a lot of deer until the wolves and some bad weather came along. I've hunted Little McGraw for 57 years.
I hunt just to the east of you....near the junction of the St. Croix trail, and the Namakagon trail.
Only Wisconsin deer experience was deer ran into the side of my truck and shattered windshield...
Had to drive all the way home to Minnesota that way.
Hey easy on the my names Pat stuff!!! Jkjkjk😂
Take a Picture of the Brand then call your local Brand Inspector. Sheriff should have it

Nice , just not into the religious side . Great story's non the less .
Saddens me to see a man of your calibre reduced to hunting childish white tails. 🤣😂
Get some therapy.
