    You mentioned Asexuals!!! I have never heard anyone, let alone one of my favourite youtubers, acknowledge the existence of asexuality! You don't know how happy that one little mention made me!! I NEVER hear asexuality being mentioned anywhere I swear, and I'm just so relieved that you mentioned it! Thanks, Kim.

      Cassie Le Bone On one hand it's sad that just someone MENTIONING asexuality makes us so happy because that's literally the only kind of representation we can hope for, but on the other... yay, asexuals

    • @TheGamerThing
      @TheGamerThing 9 років тому +1

      Notia Reel-Nayme Do you need more representation? You dont like anything, thats it. Its fine.

    • @TheGamerThing
      @TheGamerThing 9 років тому +1

      Cassie Le Bone I just mean, you obviously exist, but what can you actually do to represent asexuals? Im not trying to be rude but its simple, you dont "like" either gender...its not controversial or inherently "wrong" in some eyes(i dont think)
      Maybe im wrong, i just see asexuals as neutral.

    I recently came out about being bi, and this is because of people like you, that gives me the confidence I needed, to be honest I had read some of Zoey's tweets and another UA-camr that I watch explained her coming out story, and though I understand the bit before seems a bit unnecessary it's just me saying how people like you inspire me, knowing that there are people that agree and support our decisions is an amazing feeling to know, since coming out I have felt less guilty for keeping my true sexuality hidden for months and most of all I have an amazing girlfriend that love with all my heart, so really I have you and various other people that have inspired me to thank x

    I've wanted to be female my whole life. I remember at the age of 6 trying on my friends sisters clothes and it feeling so right. I was happy being cute. Sadly I was so unselfaware that I didn't realize my nature until quite late in life. So chose not to go through with the transition because I knew I wouldn't come out the other end looking how I wanted. I can never look how I feel inside and I have to live with that. As do many many people.
    I'm telling this story to let people know that they aren't alone and to hopefully help some people really sit down and think hard about who they are and who they want to be.
    I wish I had realized my nature 15 years ago and maybe things would have been different. As it stands use my story and as example to be more self aware.

    A little late to the party, but I want to add my little voice to those thanking you for the comments on LGBTQ issues and your viewpoint. I've been in transition for a little over 2 years now, and it hasn't been easy, but it's been the best decision I ever made. It's tough, and it's so easy to get caught up in the detractors and those who would tear me down for being who I am. But then there are those like you, who, while you know you may not understand the feelings and emotions that trans people endure, can understand that it is not a bad thing to be different from someone, and can empathize with the simple desire to be a person and have friends and a life just like anyone else. Thank you, Kim, from the bottom of my heart.

    And once again, Kim proves that her status as my favorite youtuber is very well-deserved indeed. I was in tears with the LGBT+ question; I've never seen someone who doesn't specialize in those matters handle that question with such open-mindedness and compassion. I do feel like things are beginning to get better for us, but maybe that's just in my little bubble.
    At any rate, it was absolutely ground-breaking that you mentioned both asexuals and gender-nonconforming people. As a pansexual person, I know what that kind of acceptance and acknowledgement would mean to me, and it makes me so happy that LGBT+ representation is beginning to be seen as something that needs to be worked on. You're doing a fantastic job Kim, and I'm sure that that 750K will come soon.

    "LGBTQ" caught my eye. This is one of the reasons I love the yogscast. None of these amazing people are hateful against people. They make jokes, but overall, they are just so wonderful and they don't hate or discriminate and I love them all.

  • @Arrusoh

    I used to go to a Christian School. I remember the awful hateful things that where said there. They had there students convinced that all homosexuals wanted to push there sexuality on everyone. I am so glad I don't have anything to do with that school or anyone who went to it anymore. Half the time they talk about love, then the other half they hate on people for been who they are.
    Every time Kim Uploads these videos I realize that me and her have very similar opinions on things.
    I also have to say, one of the things she said in a previous video made me realize and accept something about myself. My life has been happier since then.
    Thanks Kim, these videos are great. Please keep doing them.

    • @AllonsyRapunzel
      @AllonsyRapunzel 9 років тому

      Arrusoh Sorry about your experience. I'm proud to call myself a pansexual Christian and we're not all like that. All the people from my church are perfectly okay with it. Jesus told us to love each other as he loves us and that is what my church focuses on.

    • @Arrusoh
      @Arrusoh 9 років тому +1

      AllonsyRapunzel All the Churches near me just preached hate. They constantly asked for money and made you feel guilty if you didn't have any money to give. When I had just lost my job they where rude to me because I didn't have any money (I was 15). Meanwhile the leaders would get new cars every year. and own multiple houses.
      I still consider myself christian, but I am staying away from organised religion. I am sure there are churches that aren't like that, but I have no intention of going to a church again, too many bad memories.
      Even though I am straight, I would be more likely to go to a church that are open to people been homosexual, since I don't want to deal with that hate.

    • @AllonsyRapunzel
      @AllonsyRapunzel 9 років тому

      Arrusoh It's a shame about those sort of churches. They drive people away from God. And I hope that you find a good church to go to soon. Of course, you don't need to go to church to love God. x

    This year has been really hard for me. I'm studying music at Uni and like you said in your previous videos, I'm starting to get a little tired of it all. Eventually I started considering something with video games since it's my biggest passion but I didn't know what to do.
    When I heard you talk about your experience at LIPA (I considered going there myself btw), considering a career in games journalism and even working around your dyslexia, it made me start to believe in myself since I could relate to it all so closely. Now after finding out about journalism modules at my Uni, I'm finding myself leaning more and more down that path everyday! Even if they aren't tailored to video games :P
    As well as this I came to terms with the life long denial that I'm a trans woman. It was the hardest thing I ever did but everyday I find more and more people like you that just don't give a damn what you are and what you wanna do. And honestly that's the most relieving response to it I find.
    Keep doing you, Kim! I find myself growing more and more confident with every video you make :)

    Wow, it was really interesting hearing your views on XII, XII-2 and Lightning Returns. That's probably the first time anyone has been able to explain to me why they disliked the games in a way I understood.
    I went into them with the only FF game I'd played before them being Crystal Chronicles, and I loved them. They are easily some of my favourite games of all time, but at the same time, I had no idea about the other games being related to them, and I had no concept of what a 'good' FF game was.
    I still find it unlikely that I'll enjoy earlier FF games more, due to being so used to XII's mechanics, but I can definitely understand now why so many people dislike them.
    (Oh, and thanks for being so supportive of the LGBTQ community :D)

    You are right Kim about the younger generation being more supportive of the LGBTQ community. I'm 15 almost 16, I have about 5 friends and a cousin that are gay or lesbian. And I am cool with it, like you said I don't care about your sexuality, all I care about is your personality and if your a nice person or not. Also whenever someone asks me about my sexual orientation (in a polite way) I always respond with some sort of variation of, I honestly don't know. I've never been atracted to anyone to consider having a boyfriend or girlfriend and the time will come when I know or not. So, you go Kim for your awesome viewpoint.

    One of my close family friends is in the beginning of her transformation, and honestly, like Kim said, I don't care. They are the same person to me, and it would be wrong for me to say or even believe otherwise.
    There is a growing amount of scientific evidence that being transgender is not a choice but a biological trait. Now I know that most sane individuals have known this for a long time, but having specific scientific evidence to support transgenders is great for making a strong political statement.

    I really have to give you credit for the awesome comment section you have. Most of the time when someone starts geting 100k+ subs the community gets infested by trolls and assholes, yet here you are with way beyond that and your comment section is fairly devoid of those things, at least compared to other popular channels.

    Thank you for supporting lgbtq+ I'm pansexual and don't really have I gender I don't label myself with a gender and it can be hard sometimes even today I was I. Town and got stopped by someone asking me why I was wearing men's clothes and then told me to stop sinning but I'm not going to let that hold me back

      Natalie Robertson I have the same problem. I keep getting asked if im a boy or a girl, as i dress in men's clothes. I identify as a girl + lesbian, but u really don't have to label yourself! Be who u want to be.

      MrCool Mug g I was just wearing skinny jeans a men's baggy shirt and my hair was tucked into a beanie and I said I don't have a gender as I don't identify with being female , male or trans so I haut say I don't have one and people do refer to me as she I do refer gender neutral pronouns but female pronouns are fine

    I'm asexual which results in me being unable to spot someone's sexuality unless they're really overdoing it because everyone is so much more than the things they don't choose.
    One thing we do choose is our view of others and mine is "if it doesn't affect me, I really don't mind" so don't go victimising yourself because you hate people you don't know for being a certain way that they can't change and are not going to use it to hurt you because...
    WE MUST REMEMBER it's nothing other than LOVE 💗💖💕❤️👫👬👭

    That's the thing though, I have a feeling that if you looked at that crowd closely you would see a lot of older people. I don't know about other's but I feel like once all the old racist, homophobes are dead and gone and the newer generations are the one's in power the world will be a far more accepting and better place for it.

    • @MGustave
      @MGustave 9 років тому +4

      The answer isn't just to let people who disagree with you die out, that shows a lack of respect for our elders. We need to educate those with homophobic and racist views as to why they are wrong in what they believe.

    I fully support LGBTQ+ and I'm glad that the younger generation is, for the most part, very understanding. As a whole, we are moving forward. About that story about the dancers, if it really was in Alabama, then I'm very sad about that. I'm from Alabama and live here. When I can, I'm moving away from the south simply because I've yet to meet a single person here that has been fully supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. For the most part people here are very religious and very conservative, homophobic, and even sometimes racist. Hopefully we'll continue to move forward as a whole :)

Since you grew up all over the world, I really wasn't expecting to have heard of any of them, especially given that I'm American, but not only have I heard of them all, I've seen them all. I was particularly surprised that you mentioned MASH, since I grew up on that one and I'm about 13 years older than you. lol

    LGBTQ are people too. I've known several of them and they're just people. Really, as long as what you do isn't harmful or endangering other people, you should be free to do it. Along with the old prejudice, I think that a part of the problem is separating personal feelings from your overall opinions. For a while, I though of being gay as a bit weird, just on a personal level, and that's fading now the more I interact with some of them, but I have never thought that they should be treated any less than cis-gender or cis-sexual people. They're just people too.
