Getter has just shown us that evil always has another side. More commonly known for his gut-wrenching dubstep riffs, he has created a new alias, Planet Neutral, which has calmed his core and showed a change of heart. With his latest release, a FREE EP of the same name as his new alias, Planet Neutral, we are taken on a relaxing and heart-warming journey through a series of dubstep, hip-hop, trap and house. Whilst some songs have definite room on the dance floor, this one is a good listen for the home environment. Put on your headphones and relax, while you travel to the yet unseen scapes of Planet Neutral song by song.
In an interview with Magnetic Magazine, Getter tells them about his Planet Neutral project, "Other than just experimenting, I got into the more mellow and chilled out music super late. I started listening to Clams Casino and Flying Lotus, which is basically what started the idea. I loved the simplicity of it all. The fact that it keeps your attention track after track amazes me. I started making random hip hop/glitchy stuff on the side as I learned more about production. I had a good 4 or 5 tunes ready when I decided to make a sound cloud to post all of my side shit on. It was just for fun. I wasn't really expecting it to pick up at all. My roommate at the time and myself came up with the name "Planet Neutral" which is actually an anagram for my real name "tanner petulla". If you mix up the letters, you will get "Planet Neutral"! After that, like I said, it was just an outlet to put out my other shit. Thats still, for the most part, what it is, but I'm liking it more and more haha."
