As a medically trained Hazmat responder trev you did a phenomenal job at not doing what you needed too hahaha also just so you know the tags are to mark priority. Green is good, yellow usually means injured but not major, red is priority major injuries, and black is for deceased. You mark them based on what you feel they need based on injuries. Also prioritize the guy who was breathing then stopped he's number one now, you need to start CPR
Totally right! I too remember it as such: Green --> uninjured/walking wounded (you'd call out "If you're able to walk … come this way! follow the sound of my voice!") Yellow --> low priority (no critical or life-threatening injuries however the patient does require medical care), Red --> PRIORITY ONE in need of prompt medical care/transport (profuse bleeding, the patient has gone into shock or other serious life-threatening injuries etc). Black --> DECEASED (unresponsive to painful or non-painful stimuli, low survival odds AKA lost hope / unable to be saved / no signs of life / no spontaneous breath following a attempt to open the patient's airway via head tilt/chin lift. You'd also need to get a head count during the tagging process and performing triage. During tagging, you'd need to tally up the total number of patients by the colored tags/bands (ex. 12 green, 6 yellow, 5 red, 4 black). You'd also need to setup staging areas to direct patients to and be especially mindful as to the locations of said staging areas are noted and relayed to first responders who arrive on-scene.
I used to work on ships at sea, the rule of thumb there is to take care of the person that says nothing first, because the others are at least talking, but please keep this series going! 😀
@@mph38 - No, because someone who was merely asleep would be easily woken during the initial triage assessment process, which typically involves a gentle shake and a shout. Whereas someone actually unconscious would not awaken from that, at which point you would check their airway, breathing and pulse and then determine their triage category and their priority when compared against the gunshot patient. But nice attempt at oversimplifying and trying to sound edgy! 😂
@@WVmedic511 yeah, it really depends on the case. it is applicable if there is severe respiratory depression, compromised airway, edema, foreign body, etc. but in his case, the patient is fully responsive where an O2 mask will suffice.
as an emt in training (still gotta take nremt), i was taught to treat severe bleeding before airway and breathing. If theyre talking, theyre breathing but if they loose too much blood, theyre gone
@@thedrumman2019 it depends on the severity, but breathing issues are generally more critical and can have a host of issues. With bleeding, you simply need to control it. If they can talk, then yeah it may not be so bad. But oxygen should be a main consideration. It could get worse
Trevor is in shock that’s why he’s laughing. ❤. It’s how people deal with it. To all the emts. I hope you all make 100k salary’s. You deserve all of it. 19:00
19:05 Trevor you're funny asl. You said is he okay! 😂😂 my guy slumped over not breathing, I think he's gone. Looking forward to your second day on the job😂.
It looks this isn't entirely accurate, but... YES it's important to ask about meds! You never know if someone's taking something that will conflict with what you're gonna do
Qualify as a UK paramedic in 6 months and this game makes me laugh, but I will be installing instantly, we defo don't intubate people wide awake, or at least not in the NHS lol ; )
You flick the needle to remove air bubbles. The minor air bubbles in the needle won’t hurt you, but it makes sure the measurement of the medication is accurate.
Tapping a syringe is done to remove air bubbles from the syringe before medication administration1234. The air bubbles can affect the accuracy of dosing the medication. By tapping the syringe, any air in the syringe is expressed out before injecting the patient23.
1:13 - Suspected spinal injury patient, no spinal precautions taken and just carelessly lifted at each end by paramedics so his body sags down into a V shape onto a stretcher that hasn't even been lowered first! 😂
The flicking on the needle is to get rid of any potential oxygen/air bubbles in the syringe, I think (no paramedic or any other experience). Shooting air in the veins of a patient is sure way to punch a ticket to the pearly gates...
Morphine for chest pain, but can cause respiratory depression. Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic with great pain control as well as not decreasing respiratory status. Can cause hallucinations. Nurse anesthetist here!
@@gretchen8100I use it daily for procedures needing anesthesia in humans. Very useful in treating pain for opioid dependent patients, due to the fact it hits other receptors. Ketamine infusions are also used for depression.
I used to work at a hospital. I was seldomly asked to work in ED however...i was there one day working and a woman came in for hypotension (low blood pressure). She talking all crazy to the clinical staff to the point i was laughing and I had to ask an RN to badge me out of the area. They gave her medication to help her blood pressure raise and she was fine about an hour later.
I think this is one I GOTTA have, as the spouse of a chronically ill woman, the widow of a chronically ill woman, and someone with mental health issues, diabetes, hypertension and asthman... Heh, the times you said you didn't know what something was and I could fill in the details. I'm not medically trained at all, just experienced on a personal level. ;)
A little generous on the use of a tourniquet. Pressure dressings work on 'venous'' bleeding where a tourniquet would be better suited for arterial bleeding, imo.

Im a paramedic. This game is hilarious. Not accurate at all, but hilarious hahahaha. Love the cold tube on a conscious patient hahahahahaha
exactly haha
Same, you answered my question lmao
I’m a medic too. I will say the one thing that is accurate is patients answering your questions with the most random unnecessary information 😂😂
Nothing is never correct with these sim games lol.
@@RealFredGee23 oh this response right here!! This!!!
Lol, Trevor laughing at a patient that has no breathing 🤣🤣🤣

I used to work on ships at sea, the rule of thumb there is to take care of the person that says nothing first, because the others are at least talking, but please keep this series going! 😀
Yep. When triaging, a talking person is by definition conscious, breathing and has a pulse 👍
So by that logic you would take care of someone who was asleep before you take care of someone who was shot in the stomach. Weird

bro really inserted an ET tube on a conscious patient haha i love it
At least he inserted it in the airway. I can think of much worse places! 😂

Probably the first game from you that I LOL about 80% of it. Great job! Made S Tier rating for letting someone die... Priceless
Can’t wait to watch you play this. This is what I’m going to school for and I want this game so much!
can’t wait to watch Trev save lives!😂😭
Yo Trev, I’m a paramedic in real life and this video was hilarious lol keep them coming
Absolutely class! “Is he ok?” Sure, he’s fine, Trev🤣 Look forward to the full release.

My first thought when I saw the title “Trev driving an ambulance? I feel AWFUL for those patients” 🤣
"I dont think he's ok" BAHAHAHAHAH
Flicking the needle gets the air out of the solution.
“This is sick” Get it?? It’s a game about helping sick people 😂😂
I was an EMT when I was 19, we didn't go overly fast, the time savings came from busting the lights. We could get anywhere in just a few minutes.
My dad is a firefighter/paramedic so this is really fun for me to watch
A new simulator game episode from Trev is de best xmas gift yet 🎄❤️
Can't wait for another entertaining series
I LOVE the look of this game. Would love to see more
I can already tell this is going to be a good series

Trevor's chances of being dispatched to Between the Buns for a case of food poisoning are slim, but never zero.

Just need them to make a fire sim like the police sim is. Police sim is a great game.

not Trev going the wrong way 🤣🤣🤣 cant make this stuff up
Not me kindly yelling at Trev for triage and care as an ex-Paramedic xD
120 over 80 or 120/80 is a perfect blood pressure. And the flicking of the needle is to get the air bubbles out by breaking the surface tension
