For those who didn't understand the end... After reaching 100% you win, even if you take damage or die, it saves your progress at that point. He took damage to the ground fire (it's a blue line) after the winning frame, so the damage he took didn't count. The watch, which has nothing to do with saving his life, broke with the damage the took, as it should, but returned normal because he won before the damage. So... The ending result is YES, HE BEAT THE GAME WITHOUT TAKING DAMAGE.

@@MTREDHEADS Yeah I know it's the best Rogue Like possibly ever for me but I like to stop playing games to protect me from burning out and to make the impact of a new update or DLC feel bigger and more exciting. It's just my weird way of playing games and with ROR2 I needed a break after 100%ing the achievements and because I tried to do the Eclipse 8 grind when I wasn't feeling it which is a recipe for burn out. (Sorry for the wall of text...)
