Awesome mortars! Nicely done! I made a tiddly 'un that fires .690 lead balls over 75 meters using only 2 grams 2F Wano. Got to love mortars, the unsung work horses of the BP era.
I shoot a 4" bore mortar with a 30" barrel. I use the taller family size juice can filled with concrete. 3 ounces FF will put a can in the clouds. I spray paint the cans black and you can watch them go. A very solid carriage is needed if you shoot lead. I shoot a 2 3/4" bore mortar with lead. The carriage is made from an old railroad bridge beam. Another good tip is to put a couple cups of sawdust on top of the powder. It enables complete combustion.
It’s a hollow core design. The inner sleeve is 1/4” thick with an outer shell that gives it the thick appearance. I built the full scale version of the 8” siege mortar this way.

The 4" barrel is a lot thicker than the ones earlier! Great video!

Dang, that's Friggen awesome!
Try super gluing a length of blaze orange marker ribbon to your golf balls.
Thanks for the idea.
Very nice! How much does it weight?
Not sure. I didn't weigh it.
I'd love to have one of these !
