A burning set by a group of young lions - playing refreshing and ground breaking improvisational music. Howell, Mucha and especially Guerin made up the perfect storm behind the Chief - the impact of this set (more than the CD) IS comparable to RTF and or the Mahavishnu Orchestra from the last century! Chief Xian made very few appearances in Asia outside Japan, perhaps he is not aware of his legions of admirers in Hong Kong and Southern China! So hats off to Victor's Places again for bringing real cutting edge music to the world !!!!!!!!!! Peace Love and Stretch!
