- Since we're all staying at home, I thought I would give it a try and make a video on updating my workspace/desk setup/bedroom. It's my first video so hopefully it turned out okay.

Nearly a year later and I found this after recently redoing my own bedroom setup. Really loved all of those design decisions, that overhead closet storage and it gave me a ton of ideas of things to do in my own set up
your video is a hidden gem that I needed to push started my room remake
that’s awesome man. it took me months to put everything together, but the pay off was so worth it. i hope everything goes well for your room/setup

believe it or not i’m pretty new to making videos like this, well videos in general actually. fun fact this was the fourth draft/version of the video before i finally accepted defeat and settled for this one

Broooo the counter top + desk frame is insane. I'm looking at ideas to restyle my room and that combination instantly made me put those items in my cart hahahaha

i would get an extended mousepad and a 2nd cheap 27inch monitor but the setup is very clean, LUV IT

Good f'ing job. This is helping me so much. Moving into my 1st condo in October God willing, and I live exactly how you lived in the first couple of mins in the video and need to change my bedroom lifestyle from the ground up.

Thank you for the kind words, maybe one of these days I'll get around to taking pictures and submit my setup. I'm mainly into videography, so editing photos isn't really my thing but I'm always learning. Thanks again for giving the video a watch and supporting, it's truly appreciated. honestly i believe anyone could achieve a setup like mine, cause it’s pretty minimal and the majority of it came from ikea haha. and don’t be thinking i got all this stuff at once. i’ve actually had the bones of the setup (desk, chair, monitor arm) since 2017. i’m not loaded with money so everything was purchased over time and lots of saving up from working. picked up a new tv, paint job, and the other stuff in the video in 2020 but in like a 5-6 month span. overall i kept it minimal and bought things with intention; and that’s the aesthetic i prefer cause it’s simple and clean.

battosai man I feel you, I’m currently going through the same process, been saving a lot of money and keeping my spends really low to have some progress on my setup, another problem I have is that there’s no Ikea in New Mexico and their delivery is very expensive even if it’s just coming from Arizona

dude thanks for stopping by and even subscribing, that really means a lot. it’s pretty cool that the randomfrankp community is so supportive, i submitted a bunch of pictures so now it’s a wait and see if i make it on the show. i actually have some updates to my setup and will do a video on it soon, just waiting for one more thing to come in the mail to make it worthy of an update video.
other than that i’ll be making videos on all kinds of things i’m into like fitness, men’s style, a short film here and there or whatever i fell at the time. i’m pretty new to this so i’m just trying to learn as much as i can about videography and filmmaking with each video that i put out.

what color paint exactly did you use for your wall? Kinda looks like a matte grey. Or is it just black?
it was a flat/matte grey from behr. i forgot the exact name but i chose it from the sample sheets at home depot. this one was pretty dark, but with the right lighting it gives a nice vibe. if you want something similar what i did was try to find the a neutral dark gray with no tint to it

@@shooshiMooshi i was actually able to find the paint can! the name of the paint is 'cracked pepper' by behr and i got the flat/matte finish

yeah man trying to get a new countertop or alex drawer is terrible. gotta be there the day they come into stock or else they’re gone. luckily i sniped it recently and have some updates to the setup that i’m making a video on coming soon 😏

Hi, little late here. Amazing video first of all.
But I'm also renovating my room. And I want to have a dark grey color bedroom walls coz it's beautiful and peaceful. But I've heard that it can make your room dark and would be difficult have a good natural light
.Is it true? Also what . shade of Grey have You used. Thanks :)
the walls do absorb a lot of light, but it all depends on your circumstances. if your natural light source is one small window like mine then it might suck, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be enough light. i recommend you check out my update video as i think that one has a better balance of dark walls with decor that adds more contrast so that it doesn’t look so dark.
