Gary Sinise is a really great man! This man should be awarded some medals for his work with veterans. He his a great actor and narrator! Always been a fan!
My uncle flew an f104 in Vietnam, he was shot down 3 times, once behind enemy lines, he was mia for a week before they found him. He flew commercial aircraft for a while and had his windscreen busted by a flock of birds once, had to land the plane blind (+100) passengers. He died a few years back driving a truck full of corn when the brakes went out on him
I realize Lockheed is legend but these idiots put a downward-firing ejection seat in the "Aluminum Death Tube" F-104 because they couldn't be bothered to make one that cleared the tail. 21 pilots died in that aircraft because of low-level ejection scenarios (it shot your ass into the ground). Among those killed was a Korean War ace who was on the shortlist for our First Man in Space. It almost killed Yeager, who had to punch out - the first time he'd done so since getting shot down in WWII at 20 yrs old. It left him hospitalized with major burns. The crash rate was easily the most of the Century Series Aircraft. They were sued by the Germans in the 70s on behalf of 60 widows and dependents of over 30 pilots killed in the thing, but that was just half the pilots killed by it there. They might have had no future whatsoever had the CIA not come and saved them.

Outstanding documentary! Especially Gary Sinise’s flight in the U-2 Dragonlady: incredible story, even better storyteller. Well done.
Many thanks!
Thank you Gary, I was. USAF 1970 - 1974 F4 fighter mechanic.
Thank you for your service Joseph
Thank you Gary. And thank all who are involved with the U2 program. I figured one cent of my taxes go to the U2 program. A penny well spent.
Awesome documentary as always
Thanks again!

Kelly Johnson with CNC, 3D printing and modern computing would have put humans on Mars in 4 years.
America 🇺🇸 Wwg1wga. Gary Sinise ended up from an actor to a national treasure.
Nice! To think that we live in an age of AI generated documentaries!
Me too!❤
3:39 the Aim 7 Sidewinder, eh?
Dear Dronescapes:
I love your videos, but please spend some time learning about INERTIAL navigation systems.
