I'm not a competitive player, (Competitive play scares the shit out of me personally) but it's always a blast seeing any LOTR SBG talk, especially hearing from my local auzzies!
Loved the debate on Bozza with or without horse. I love how expert players have different opinions. I really enjoyed your analysis of all these lists and it helps me see what synergies work better for me. Let us know how the Hammer swaps go on those models and how each List/Player ranks. Thanks guys
My favorite thing is that the Rohan/Fellowship list has 9 units. IT IS A ROHAN FELLOWSHIP Makes me wonder who would carry the ring. My money is on Haleth
Great video guys, well done. Just starting out with MESBG (Angmar and Mordor) and was wondering when you are constructing a list, do you take into account scenarios, meta etc.. I see so many miniatures with great profiles and having a hard time trying to put down a list that works together as a whole.
It's something you could take into account, but honestly I almost always just take what would be fun to play, at least these days, I find you play heaps better when you're having fun with your army rather than 'playing optimally' -Liam
Gotta love me some good ol fun with the mates looking at peoples mind on how to optimize builds ( or do silly things). As common tourney players and much more experienced than myself, a question arose regarding lances when dismounted. On my community it's understood that the lance is lost, but rules as written doesn´t says it literally, what´s the aussie and you take on the topic? If it if conserved, is it a one hand weapon, two hand? Many thanks and have a lovely day mates, keep up the great work!
I've seen this pop up recently, imo is kind of a moot point, a lance only confers any benefit to a mounted model and I think every cav is armed with a sword anyway so really it means next to nothing. Also inb4 one or two handed, you can use a lance with a shield and get the benefit so it has to be a one handed weapon. -Liam
@@NoobsandMen Understood, the question became a thing for me recently since i saw a replay from the Gollum's Gamers lads and a mounted hero that had a lance and a two handed weapon, but when dismounted, chose to use the lance, to not get the -1 roll form two handed. Compiling opinions and takes from different communities has been really helpful when learning and teaching the local one. Hopefully i can get back to rolling some dices, cheers
Hey mate, love the vids. I'm getting into the hobby alongside my cousin and uncle and wondering if there is a scene for local/comp play in Melbourne if you know of any? Speaking with the Warhammer staff here they only do Warhammer events which is a shame. Cheers mate!
Hey mate there is an absolutely massive scene in Melbourne and currently where I'm located It's One of the largest in Australia. I recommend join the Aus MESBG Facebook page to keep up to date with events/organize games and to join groups. -sean.
What's the issue with Black Riders? It's a bit like complaining about someone bringing Sully+WK Mordor soup. It's just a good list. Edit: Ok now I see, it's a bit of a meme tournament 😂
Well for starters Sully WK is literally nothing like black riders, not even close. Sully WK is an efficient army making the most of some really solid profiles. Black riders is up there with one of the most oppressive armies in the game depending on what you're playing. Some armies literally can't even interact with black riders. Granted there's some scenarios the black riders struggle with or can't win, but they're still going to make your game pretty miserable. Also wouldn't call this a meme tournament, pretty typical for Australian tournaments, we like to have fun -Liam
Lists themselves are very very very rarely veto (here in Australia). ATM Tom bombadill is the only model in a list that will flag a TO to think about rejecting the list but even then it's only a certain style of play with Tom that would ultimately get the refusal. Boiled down, 99.9% of the time nothing will get vetoed -Sean

Shouldn't be scared of competitive play mate, especially here in aus 90% of players are just there to roll dice and have a laugh

Definitely going to do a breakdown of the tournament, it was a heap of fun, but won't be able to for another week or so yet so keep keen!

Awesome debate, i agree with Thranduil on foot, no orcris leggy. I like the Azog with 9 berserkers, i like Bolg more and more hunters troops.

I wish local tournments here would let you bring a 100 model Shire list
Sorry what?????
They don't

Eagles is like my khand chariot hero list. Not here to win but if I can give my opponents a shit one I’m happy.
Can't wait to be playing you on bottom table 😉
