I’m trying to figure out what medium instead of clay we could use to achieve what you did with clay. Maybe a hard setting putty that can once set be removed and used as a template for a mould to produce a product made of a strong, heat cycle resistant material. 🤔 Great video… thanks 🙏
Iv used the jb putty before. I do not know its temp limits. I would think that above the carb and under an air cleaner the temperature is the highest on a heat soak and near normal atmosphere temps when running. The other downside with the 2 part putty is you have to work somewhat fast but its easily sandable by hand.
To be clear i havent used putty to make an air inlet before. Just for other projects. Id advise looking to see if there is a general spec sheet available with temp limits or limits written on the package.
Thank you for commenting and watching! I do not have a 750 demon but i do know someone with one. I will see if they are willing to take it off and do some tests. Probably wont be for a while but it will be added to the list.
Thank you for the offer, but I will politely decline. Summer is short in Wisconsin and my to do list is very long due to how much stuff I need to do outside. This vid was filmed last winter and has just started to get good views. I have a local friend / coworker that has a 750 demon on his barracuda that is willing to take off later this year and try some things on the bench. Should be fun
Thank you for commenting. I do not disagree with you. I think i could have left out the bench fix detour and expand more on the actual testing. Perhaps a summary at the end would be a better way to talk things through. I am trying to reach a balance of sharing information and not wasting everyones times with videos being too long. This one went very fast
They were meant to be used on typical earlier Holley carbs, not on HP carbs.
Very interesting. Thanks
Great video!

You are flowing the carb wrong. SF makes a fixture for carbs, where you flow 1 BBL at a time, so you can get true CFM.
Interesting but have or can you test 750 mighty demon.

What part of the country are you in. I've got a few, could possibly send one to test.

No worries totally understand. I'll wait and watch.
Thanks
Not an easy video to follow.

@@josephnowak I'm more graphic. Look at the figures would be a big help for comparison. Those sheets that you had, nobody can see them.
