082817 LAKE CONROE DAMAGE

Several boats were between homes, one almost in a living room. Flooding of several homes on the lake and many docks either underwater or destroyed. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables who are charged with enforcing the law on the lake will be busy for the next few days. Lt. Cade with the Lake Patrol requested anyone finding a boat they do not own, if possible, tie it up. Later in the week, they will start collecting these and take them to a central gathering point for the owners to claim them. If anyone tries to claim a boat on your property get a boat registration number, make and license plate of the person collecting it. If possible snap a photo. The Lake Patrol is still involved in hundreds of rescues due to flooding. Once that mission is complete they will start collecting boats. In addition, the lake remains closed to all boat traffic.
