  • Whipsaw trail just past Manning Park. This is part 1. Takes you from Vancouver to Manning Park, to the trailhead. Past Memorial Rock (separate video). Up to campsite 1.

You can make it through most of it but there's a real steep section where some 4x4's can barely make it up so a trailer might bog you down. See part 2 of this video where the van and the sami go up that steep section, just before you see the big bug on the grand cherokee.

This trail is on my bucket list, just hopefully not the last thing on it though. ;-)

Yep, a synchro with aftermarket coil springs and shocks plus decent tires. It did great, no body damage but front plastic spoiler aint looking so good... but that was due to having fun crossing some deep ditches!

Definitely not trailer friendly. Driving off the trail and creating deeper mud holes will result in the trail being closed.

Rumour has it some green wigs want to shut the trail down... some sort of stupid bylaw for trails running over 5000' in elevation. Ridiculous. Welcome to "no fun BC". It's bad enough we have to drive 2hrs out of town to find the nearest gravel road that's not off-bounds for anything motorized. You wonder why kids drag race on the street, etc as "fun" areas are locked down one by one. Pretty soon even "thumb" races will be illegal. LOL
