    I used to hide truth in fictional stories because the truth was so bizarre that it was impossible to pass it off as truth. The great thing about hiding the truth in fiction is that those who end up knowing it's truth, KNOW it, and usually follow your work because they too don't know what to do about truth that is so bizarre, you just don't want to try and convince someone about it's truthfulness.

    I actually grew up near Montauk and spent a lot of time hiking and camping at and around camp hero, where all this stuff took place (I've been to the radio tower in the thumbnail and it's actually pretty common for people to climb). The place is actually a cool place to go and hike through, seeing all the old buildings and stuff

    • @Sam-fg9lf
      @Sam-fg9lf 6 років тому +3

      Aris Witty is it true about the fishermen near the beach area? That they are paid to watch there and get info?

    • @ariswitty99
      @ariswitty99 6 років тому +3

      @@Sam-fg9lf I've never heard that. It's right on the ocean. I do know the park is patrolled though. The few times I went camping with the boy scouts there a park ranger pickup truck would make the rounds around the camp every hour or so. Likely to make sure nobody was trying to break into any of the sealed off buildings.

    • @CollectiveMindFilms
      @CollectiveMindFilms 11 місяців тому +1

      I’ve never seen any patrols out there-boats, trucks or otherwise. No monsters either. You can’t really get to Camp Hero or the light house except for by land.
      How ever, you can reach Gossman’s fairly easily (the docks). The South Fork of LI is pretty remote.

    • @ariswitty99
      @ariswitty99 11 місяців тому

      @@CollectiveMindFilms I know they have 1-2 groundskeepers for the park and I've seen him drive around but he's probably just seeing what trees need to be trimmed and stuff like that. I know Montauk police occasionally send a squad car to the parking lot (or officers might just be taking lunch breaks there) but that's only because I know a few people who got busted for trespassing at the tower. Punishment was just a ticket.

    Don't judge someone by their job? Sorry. But to me, that's actually a pretty good indicator of someone's drive, potential, motivation and such. You don't find very many lazy people as CEOs or one who would hold PhDs.
    Then again, not everyone who works fast food or menial jobs is a lazy good for nothing. There are countless reasons why someone would be working a job like that.
    Side note: all the janitorial jobs I've seen, make big $$$ really. Not a job I look down on at all. It's hard work and pays well in most cases.

The installation was shut down in the 70's and the lower levels were sealed off! However there are still signs the "Bell" is still active!

      Hans Kommler never did talk to Werner; he disappeared just b4 the end of WWII. ALL scientists, officers included, were executed by Kommler himself. When the Amercan soldiers stormed his complex, they found the executed scientists/officers but Kommler & the "Bell" were no where to be found. The object that crashed in Penn was NOT the Nazi Bell; its dimension were much smaller than that of the Bell & it held no passengers.

    I get so tired of people just rehashing what was "reported" about the Montauk project, and basically constantly playing a game of telephone over it. When is someone actually going to fact check any of this instead of just jibber jabbing? There has to be a paper trail some where instead of just a couple of books filled with the rantings of a questionably sane person(s). Why not get a group of people to link arms, and comb over the entire grounds in a single line with metal detectors, and magnometers? Heck, lets make a prank call to CallB4YouDig to have them come out and spray paint out the lines of the utilities that we KNOW of that is out there before we come in with a herd of caterpillar bulldozers?

    I live on Long Island and actually camped out at camp hero with the Boy Scouts, this makes me spooked. We actually saw someone shining a flash light at the top of the tower at camp hero, I still have no idea if it was a person investigating, or if it was workers idk but spooky

      I've camped at camp hero many times with the scouts as well. You can get into a couple of the towers and get to the roofs pretty easily. If you saw a flash up there, if was probably just some kids hanging out.

      @CHRIS SAVAGE Lol bro this is a fucking written story off reddit. Narrated to make it sound more creepy. It is all made up. Plum Island is a disease control center located in the furthest northeast island because if any airborne disease accidentally was leaked etc the northeast winds we get so often would blow them out so sea, just like most of our pollution. Please dont buy into the conspiracy and look past the fact that a underground bunker full of deadly diseases is about 4 miles off montauk point.

      Lots of different ways, in American Dad they use heaven guns, in Warhammer Lore, it's boredom, in Dr. Who the immortal chooses to use up their life force. Although I take your point, if they can be killed or die-in anyway-they are by definition not immortal.
