Wow! Rich you got the perfect Eagles fan on the phone! As a 42 year old life long Eagles fan who also happens to be from Bucks County, PA, I must say to that W/L prediction: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
They're fans and fan is short for fanatic, so it makes sense. I couldn't play this game myself. When my team is good I can't see them losing to anyone, and when they're bad I don't want to talk about it...
….and Nick had NO resume of winning ANYTHING until they stuck him in Philadelphia….and they lost until he relinquished control of the offense to Shane Steichen
If I was Cowboys fan I think I would hate Washington the least because they've clearly been the least successful of the three division rivals in the last 20 years or so. Philly has been consistently good since the Reid era and the Giants were winning Superbowls during the Coughlin era. The more successful your division rivals are the more it will be at your expense. The weakest team in the division, assuming it's not you, is like two free wins a year. How much do you really hate the punching bag? It's the guys threatening to take your home playoff game that you should really hate.
Eagles are a 12-5 caliber team. A lot depends on health but they'll win 11-12 games. That assumes Hurts gets his head out of his rear end, which is not a given. 25 TD/13 INT is disgraceful in the NFL in 2023, especially with the talent around him. He was part of the problem last year and needs to be better.
I'm an Eagles fan, but Jeebus! ... 14-3 is generous to the point of insanity. I'll predict 12-5 (and no sweep of the division); we'll see if Dallas can match/best that record for the NFC East. I'd be surprised to see either the Giants or Red Wolves (c'mon Josh Harris, gotta change that milquetoast name) make a leap.
Easy schedule, roster to roster most games are ours to lose barring a bunch of injuries or the defense really not meshing… Sure we could end up losing more, it’s the NFL it’s got an entire industry built on betting because of how unpredictable it is. But in a vacuum, with the information we have now, not many of these teams are a match… The only wild cards I see early on are Green Bay, Jacksonville, and maybe the browns? Maybe?
@griffins750 looks like that eagles roster is not very well balanced by any means. The defensive side of the ball looks super suspect with huff not looking good so far in camp, that's not helping the void haason left, the secondary looks lost Currently with rookies hurt or not performing this early point in their Career, looks like they have zero answer for the LB group yet again.the inside of that Dline looks formidable but unfortunately that does not cover every position group on the defensive side. From the outside looking in it just looks like a team that has put massive pressure of hurts and his talented cast to make up for the rest of the team. As a football fan looking at it I can't see th eagles taking the east if the defense can't step up and help hurts or maybe the DC makes the team cover themselves with a nice defensive scheme that the players buy into.
I think we sweep the division , split with Washington, and lose to Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and LA. Rest are wins with maybe even a tie somewhere in there to spice things up. Go birds
we went 14-3 with a harder schedule and the super bowl 2 years ago. 10-1 last season, and upgraded our roster. My ceiling is 14-3 and the floor being 11-6
this guy just picked them to sweep the NFC East division 6-0 which is NOT happening. Eagles will win 11/12 games max, but that should be enough to win division and be made 3rd seed in the playoffs.
The hurts-siriani relationship story is the most overblown story in sports media. They are fine and will show everyone how good they are this season

Giants and cowboys fans/media are the only ones keeping this Hurts/Sirianni talk alive lol.
Appreciate the shout-out to John Facenda, Rich. What a voice.

Your schedule ain't that tough, you guys could prolly get a solid 11-6
Split with dallas, lose to cle, lose one of pit/gb
almost everyone who plays this game thinks their team is gonna steam roll the field. smh
Everyone should be allowed optimism in August. Well, maybe not Panther or Jets fans.

I love the irrational optimism of NFL fans in August.
To be fair, I'd be surprised if the Eagles aren't a playoff team, though. Just not quite 14-3
If they were in the AFC, they'd probably be like the 12th best team, but yeah they'll be a wildcard team in the NFC

13-4 at best, 9-8 worst
