Jeanty is the dream pick at 6. He is a generational talent that will fall to that spot due to perceived positional value. He is also the one player in this draft that will have the biggest positive effect on the browns both immediately and long term because our offense leans on an elite running game to set up a passing game that relies on designed play action bootleg rollout passing. So far the rest of the mock I am ok with. Though I think if we put teams against one another we can get more in a trade down. I want a first next year and a 2nd for a pick swap. We should be able to at least play the giants and raiders against one another. The wild card is Tennessee. They may want to play the game too regarding trading down.
If we take Jeanty he will be a shell of himself by the time we are competing seriously in a few years. There’s a reason running backs have less value, it’s not just “perceived value”. Take a player that can be a pro bowler for 10 years, not 4
This option has merit because we need premier RB badly. also it would allow us to keep Chubb at lower price. We need OL in 2nd or 3rd round! Cousins in free agency on 1 year prove it contract, Fields on longer contract built on incentives.

I would like to see the Browns offer free-agent-to-be Daniel Jones a 2yr deal in the range (7 million per yr) Mitch Trubisky received from Pittsburgh a couple seasons back. In addition, they should do as you said and bring in Kirk Cousins for the league minimum if/when he's cut. My thinking is the same as yours on bringing in Cousins and wanting two veteran options for the Brown's open QB spot. I'm just not sure if Field's would be a good fit in Stefanski's system. Jones on the other hand is a good fit, and has something Cousins does not.... upside. He's a tall, traditional pocket passer who also possesses a good arm and excellent mobility. He spent his college career playing for QB whisperer David Cutcliff who's offensive philosophy is steeped in the same west coast concepts as Stefanski's wide-zone scheme. If the Browns are able to acquire him this off season, I believe Stefanski will get Jones to play the best ball he's played in his career- just like he did with 2020 Baker, 2022 Jacoby Brissett, and 2023 Joe Flacco.
I’d offer that everyone is looking at this the wrong way. We need to look at how do we win the division. If we can’t compete internally, we’ll never go to the postseason. By extension, we don’t stand a chance of building up a competitive offense within the division given Cincy and Baltimore’s mature offenses. But we can build a killer defense that will allow us to win games with just a strong run oriented offense.
