Ohtani's contract is an AAA+. He is helping the Dodgers sign more All-Star players and making the Dodgers more money through TV deals, sponsorships, merch and ticket sales. His influence on Dodgers revenue stream is beyond comprehension. He is singlehandedly lifting the Dodgers to become this global brand. And yet, he remains this humble human being who loves baseball, his dog and anime...
He will be good for 8-10 year but once vision and pop goes he’s screwed. Also his contract runs till hes 43 i think and almost no one is productive after 38
Ohtani is worth it. I think the "700 million for a DH" jokes miss the fact that he's an incredible athlete. If they were not proactively trying to preserve him for his pitching ability they'd 100% be able to coach him up over an offseason and get at least a Teoscar Hernandez level of defense alongside the single best bat in baseball. The only reason he is a DH is that his primary defensive position is pitcher and that position is FAR too valuable to waste his energy with the outfield.
Slipped in some shade towards the 2020 WS. So naturally i had to look at the mets standings that year. It makes sense, i get why you dont count 2020 now
I'm noticing something from Arizona. And that is the past few lefties they have signed to come and pitch for them, It has not panned out. MadBum, E-Rod, and Jordan Montgomery. 12:35 I would have to think it's because they started off the gates slow, Doval's regression, Soler's slow start, Lee getting injured, and Snell's slow start.
12:30 I'm hopeful for the Giants in 2025 because so many things went wrong last year: Snell's disastrous first half, JHL's season-ending injury in May, Soler simply not living up to his contract, and Camilo Doval struggling in the closer role until finally being demoted in August
Stroman's a groundball pitcher with a lazy infield behind him. Then that (and the fans) got in his head and amplified things. Some team that actually plays fundamentals could fix him and win.
To be fair he had a solid 2023 and they wanted him only as a rental knowing he was planning to opt out. It was when he started asking for an extra year to his contract that the Dodgers said no and he said ok, I’ll block the trade and opt out to get paid elsewhere
@giraffeneckmarc- Stroman has a club option, not a player option. This option is triggered if Stroman pitches 140 innings in 2025. Gotta cite that correctly sir.
the players literally take less money to pllay with the dodgers, they are just the villains and thats just how it is. same thing with the yankees 25-30 years ago
Why do the Mariners have such problems with hitters considering their history with Edgar Martinez ichiro Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr? Has the stadium changed in some meaningful way?
You raise a great point: even when Zaidi "won" contract negotiations for the Giants, he still lost. In retrospect, Chapman could've been signed for 5 years/$90M and Snell for 5 years/$100M. At any rate, very glad Chapman is still a Giant. Adames was an awesome get. Hopefully Hicks goes back to the pen, and the Giants can sneak in one last signing before spring training while still staying under the luxury tax threshold: Ha-Seong Kim for 2B. Does 4 years/$48M get it done? Even less?
It'll be a F for Soto's deal. The desperate Mets thought they were a player away from winning a chip. Soto is not even half as good as a Shohei just doing DH.
@Sros...the Mets spent 800m including bonus on a 1 tool player and have done absolutely nothing to improve a medicore starting rotation. Yes they did add a very good bullpen arm but still the pen is just okay. 1st base is a disaster currently. So the A for this off-season is an D+ rated on a generous curve. This jerk gave the Yankee off season an F which is silly. They gave up only 1 real player in King to get the 1 tool player at 20 million less the the Mets overpay. THIS F led the Yankees to a WS with lots of flaws which they nicely addressed this off-season. The Mets may actually be worse since they dramatically played way over their heads. This guy gets an FFF and one more fu...kin F

So far but the pitching needs to be worth it as well.
@@bakaraka5880he could loss a arm and it would be worth it with the money Soto got
Did you not read his comment....🤦🤦 Wtf do you mean so far@@bakaraka5880
If Craig Kimbrel isn't an A+ idk what we're doing. If you don't look at any of his stats and didn't watch him pitch he did great.
He’s 100% Gassed
It’s sad he was a top 10 reliever in the 1st half 2.10 ERA .95 WHIP but after that he was awful
Shouldve retired and he'd be in the hall like billy wagner 😂
What we're not doing half-season grades?
ohtani's contract is underrated. the absolute best contract of all time.
Soto's 700 mil deal will become the worst deal for his video about Grading the 2025 MLB Offseason One Year later.
I think he will do great this year but yeah not worth that crazy contract.
He will be good for 8-10 year but once vision and pop goes he’s screwed. Also his contract runs till hes 43 i think and almost no one is productive after 38
He should be an elite hitter for a long time getting an A grade next year, but that contract definitely wont age well.
There's only one thing happening, the Dodgers 😭

Always solid content. A good watch.
“Nothing going on.” Signed players he hasen’t talked about: Sasaki, Scott, Yates, and Santander.
Slipped in some shade towards the 2020 WS. So naturally i had to look at the mets standings that year. It makes sense, i get why you dont count 2020 now
So funny how people continue to discredit it man 🤦♂️
Ohtani need another + to his A+ from the publicity and money he bring for Dodgers, also his influence on Sasaki's joining.
The goat finally uploaded

Can’t wait for this years offseason video😭
Weaver, especially for the money, was an a+. Absolute NAILS down the stretch too
Here within a hour I am so happy the A’s are making moves
For those that say Soto's 765 mil contract is not worth it, allow me to speak for my Mets fans and for Marc.
*WE DO NOT CARE*
Erick Fedde was a good value signing even though it was the white sox
I just wanted to let you know Mark I have been watching since 2018 and am a huge fan keep up the good content
12:30 I'm hopeful for the Giants in 2025 because so many things went wrong last year: Snell's disastrous first half, JHL's season-ending injury in May, Soler simply not living up to his contract, and Camilo Doval struggling in the closer role until finally being demoted in August
Utility players tier list
0:00 quite the opposite dodgers been signing everyone
They even signed my cat named dog
They signed me to be their bat boy for unlimited beer/6 years
nicely done, pretty spot on. Surprised how many F's there were, probably happens more than we think.
I’d watch a vid like this about other deadlines/off seasons every day of the week btw
Lowkey 🔥 vid idea u should do this for every season
I wonder if Anthony rendon watches these
Seth Lugo worked out very well for the Royals
Stroman's a groundball pitcher with a lazy infield behind him. Then that (and the fans) got in his head and amplified things. Some team that actually plays fundamentals could fix him and win.
No free agent buzz?
Anthony santander: Am i a joke to you?
This was definitely recorded before Santander and the Roki signing
Love the sound effect at 17:32
Do more of these like the 2024 trade deadline or even the 2023 offseason and trade deadline
Love this video idea
2025 free agent period has hit a bit of a lull? Not for Dodgers fans, brah. Not for Dodgers fans.
you should react to one of your offseason grades
Cant believe the Dodgers ever wanted Erod 😂
To be fair he had a solid 2023 and they wanted him only as a rental knowing he was planning to opt out. It was when he started asking for an extra year to his contract that the Dodgers said no and he said ok, I’ll block the trade and opt out to get paid elsewhere
Garver for 2 years 24 Mil is VERY expensive for the Mariners
Please do a retrospective of the 1986 offseason please. Thx love your content.
Do mlb imperialism

So Kirby Yates wasn’t mentioned what a joke
Should have added trades too
“Cuz we’re not counting the Covid season”
Nah, YOURE not counting it 😂 we can say 2 in 5 🤷🏻♂️
i love your videos mark
Kirby Yates to the Texas Rangers is an A plus move signing and even David Robertson!
As a dodgers fan this offseason has been crazy and I don’t feel bad for the other fans because their team could have spent money but chose not to
the players literally take less money to pllay with the dodgers, they are just the villains and thats just how it is. same thing with the yankees 25-30 years ago
@ thats true because we are the best team in baseball. Players prioritze rings but they still wanna get paid
@@autkev7112Tell me all of the superstar FA the Yankees signed while they were winning championships in the 90s?
Why do the Mariners have such problems with hitters considering their history with Edgar Martinez ichiro Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr? Has the stadium changed in some meaningful way?
Reylo was literally good for the White Sox what are you tb
16:02 lemon pepper freestyle instrumental🤔
Signing Ohtani let to signing Sasaki, which wil lead to signing Murakami.
do the 2022 offseason

Nothing going on except for the best organization in sports getting everyone and their mother

Can't wait to see the Juan Soto A+ in a year from now 🤝
Unless Soto does another 300+ average season with 40 home runs he won’t even get close to an A. All that money sets crazy standards
It'll be a F for Soto's deal. The desperate Mets thought they were a player away from winning a chip. Soto is not even half as good as a Shohei just doing DH.

2020 will always count bc the 2017-18 Astros cheated. Stay mad, Marc
