That's pretty common in this game. Everyone likes to root for the underdog unless they're fans of a specific player or character. Megaman's pretty high in the tiers whereas Duck Hunt is pretty low.
@@KevSB07 There aren't many rules or guidelines aside from avoiding vulgar language in commentating. I've seen them go into long winded tangents about their own lives without a care for the actual competition results. Playing favorites doesn't surprise me.
@@gamrage not playing favorites is the one unspoken rule about commentary. As a commentator, you don't know who's watching, and you can't assume they will agree with whatever biases you have, so your job is to keep it unbiased in order to stay inoffensive to everyone. If everyone came to watch a set between Kameme and Raito, and 100% of the commentary just talks about Raito, you're going to have a good portion of the viewers disappointed in the obvious disparity.
I still think Megaman in Ultimate is at least high tier if not higher! Even though the Joker patch nerfed his Leaf Shield a bit, it's still a really good tool! Plus, his aerials are good, his projectile game is good, and as we saw in those matches, Megaman still gets good kill confirms off the Metal Blade Item Throw. The ability to dash cancel into other moves helps Megaman get those Up Tilts more! ^^
Phdbot4 oh I don’t doubt for a second that Mega Man isn’t bad, he obviously still has stuff that works despite the nerfs. ...including the best Shoryuken in Capcom history. C’mon Nintendo 😂 give my boi Ryu some love.
@Jonathan Parnes That is because the nerfs to Mega Man, aside from the Pellet Microcancel fix early in the game, where pretty minor and inconsequential.
It's so refreshing to watch people playing more obscure mains for USA and making it to the top in tournaments. Was getting sick on only seeing Lucina and Wolf

Kameme: *Wins*

@@KevSB07 Unspoken rule? If that's an actual thing, I've rarely seen people abide by it. Don't make stuff up.
The lack of kill power on Duck Hunts aerials makes me uncomfortable
There's also the difference in character weight. Duck Hunt is Lightweight with 86 units where as Megaman is Heavyweight with 102 units
Just goes to show the Duck is there for recovery only.
Kameme is amazing, Raito is amazing too
Edit: btw are wario and mega man still in high tier? ( I main them from smash 4)
From what I know, Wario is still Wario (meaning he's really good), but Mega Man had a number of nerfs in the new 3.0 patch.

@@phdbot4483 Actually, all projectiles got nerfed, In other words, 3/4 of Megaman's moves
But he's still really good
Mega man is by far the character with the most nerfs and kameme still doing well
Mega man also got some buffs from the last update. STILL HIGH TIER
Che Sprehe he means how Mega Man has been getting nerfs all the major smash ultimate patches
@Che Sprehe He got nerfed back

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like DHD has trouble landing the big hits for KOs.
Very true. He has a hard time killing. Frisbee to uair or rar bair works but not until high % and frisbee is unsafe and can be hard to land.
Bret Hamilton I still respect DHD players tho. Very niche character in Smash tournaments.
His smash attacks have so much lag. Since they're all 3 hit attacks if he does it wrong it leaves him so open.
I love both players!!
stop saying raito like that pls holy moly
Sees mega man vs duck hunt. Instant click, like. I don’t even care who’s playingf
is this 3.0.0 with all the projectile nerfs?
Just because pojectiles got nerfed doesnt mean people will change their characters.
