    A great and accurate account of this wonderful historic landmark - a must see for anyone in the Dawson City area.

    that's $56,925,382 worth of gold as of today. 2,200 grams of gold a day is insane.

      I've seen 2500 ounces of gold a day in an Alaskan mine I worked at in the 90"s. Trapper scotty, Alaskan

    Tony Beets would have done it twice as fast for 1/10 the cost.

      He would have made money doin it for them. He would have been running the material through one of his wash plants, then sold the clean washed rock back to them, while gettin the gold out all at the same time. He knows what he is doin.

      MrCloudseeker I never said he was nice, or not a dick. He knows how to get gold and doesn't care if he screws people over in the process.

    I toured it about 12 years ago if I’m remembering correctly. Quite a setup. Lots of iron.

    I love how films always depict the Yukon gold rush as American... Yukon is in CANADA, a different country. Amy Americans mining up here were foreigners...

    These dredges were invented in New Zealand

  • @jaywillow9927
    @jaywillow9927 5 років тому +1

    Problem with dredges is moving them. When the ground stops paying, what do you do with the dredge? Move it? Ask Tony Beets about that. He probably spent over a million dollars moving the first dredge he bought.

    • @gerardvriend729

    wait a minute...did i hear it right...992000 Ounces of gold worth over a million dollars..that can't be right...more like closer to around a billion or just short of a billion even at the ounce price for those times...help me out am i right or wrong

    • @SteveyHam
      @SteveyHam 3 роки тому

      The video was referencing 992050 grams (not ounces). About 28 grams in an ounce. You also have to take into account inflation ($1million dollars back then in today’s money is $$$)

    Shouod I quit my job and go buy a dredge? Does everyone have the overwhelming urge to go gold mining or is it just me? I've never been and dont live anywhere near where gold can be found, but its always been calling me.
