  • The Water in one of our lots wasn't working because of the cold weather we've had. Clint determined the heating element wasn't working as it should so the float got stuck. The butcher steers and heifer calves were thirsty!! Watch how he troubleshooted the problem. #midwest #northdakota #farmer

    I had the same waterers and to help prevent them from freezing I wired in a simple 120v light bulb plug so if the elements go out it is still able to keep the pipes from freezing, been doing this for a few years now plus it's easy to change them out and doesn't cost much to run a light bulb. Just my 2 cents worth...lol

      We’ve done that as well. We went with the heat rope but the light bulb is always a great backup.

    We put a heat tape on that pipe, never have a problem

      Clint found that it wasn’t the pipe. The elements under the water to keep the water warm burnt out, causing the water to freeze
