It's nice to see such well looked after guinea pigs and they are so cute and I watch Saskia as well , I used to keep guinea pigs myself I had two long hair one boy and one long hair girl so so adorable I love guinea pigs . Even though I don't have any more . I do miss they cute little piggy sounds . Love your videos .

So love your channel. My sweet almost 9y/o granddaughter has been wanting guineas for a while. Her parents work so i agreed to adopt an older pair, girls to have live with me in order to teach her how to look after them. We watch your videos together and she's learning alot. I didn't realize how much was involved with them yet im loving them so much. They're very skittish as they were on their own in a smallish outdoor hutch. We've built an indoor one and they're happy there. She sits and sings to them for ages whilst she's staying here. Im in new zealand and just ordered two

Holds the hay in the national way that hay is grows straight up and not so packed so tight that they half to work at getting it out to eat it they need to be able to eat it freely like in nature but It’s the one thing that sharpens there teeth

I just bought the same pea flakes.. it was fun giving them to our piggies for the first time..our one piggy, Chewy, just loves them. Love the piggy that was frozen…she must really hate the camera…
I had to post another comment…. LA Guinea pigs and Scotty’s are awesome, too! Went to a local Guinea pig specialty vet in OR who was awful, greatly dislikes Saskia and tried to tell me I was harming my piggies by following Saskia’s advice. My piggies are healthy & happy thanks so all I’ve learned via LA Guinea Pigs and Scotty’s channel 💜🥰 I have kids with a rare disease who were only diagnosed thanks to my own internet research. Vets are valuable but just as with people drs, make sure the respect you as the Parent and caregiver! 💜
Quite the inverse! I had guinea pigs for more than 33 years and Saskia is the only one I really trust. She isn't perfect but she is pretty close. Just because she doesn't have a Dr. before her name, she has done more good (mostly for free!) for piggies and other animals than any doctor could claim. Shame on that doctor. I had one great vet, Dr. Kenneth Welle in Champaign-Urbana, IL, but pretty much really bad ones for decades in other places. They are few and far between. Scotty is a doll too!

I am picking up two baby girls on Saturday and I have been frantically making fleece cage liners also some cuddle cups. Just seeing your piggy in the yellow cuddle cup was adorable. I recused a Guinea pig from someone who was getting rid of her on fb and she has never had hay or veggies she has only had Boston lettuce and pellets that’s it and she was very skinny and she doesn’t like to drink water I need some guidance on how to help her I did give her cucumbers and hay
That is very nice of you to rescue her! Guinea pigs need 24/7 access to hay and water at all times (mainly Timothy hay and some orchard hay) their diet also does need leafy greens and veggies. I look up videos on feeding your guinea pig and diets right now on saskia’s UA-cam channel. There is also Scotty’s UA-cam channel and many others that have great info on how to care for a piggie 💟
Hi, Guinea Pig Jungle! I am a guinea pig owner, and I have a couple of questions. I have two guinea pigs. So I have a 5x2 C&C cage.Thats big enough, right? I have a tunnel, and two hideouts. That enough? They have 3 chews, which I switch out weekly. That okay? They have a food/hay dispenser, and two water bottles. They also have a litter pan. I use fleece, and spot clean everyday and full clean once a week. That good? I hold them nightly, for about 30 minutes, and give them floor time every so often. They have hay 24/7 and feed twice a day, 1/5 a cup per time. I would also like tips on how to keep my room smelling better, so any tips?
