  • “I don’t think we would’ve had the same reaction had there been 10,000 Ukrainian children killed.”

“If one has to refer to any of the parties as a terrorist state, one might refer to the Israeli government, because they are the people who are slaughtering defenseless and innocent Arabs in the occupied [Palestinian] territories, and we don’t regard that as acceptable.” - Nelson Mandela (1990)

This war was all about land grabbing never about hostages and Hamas. Natenyahu showed UN a map of new Israel. The original orders is to target civilians under the pretext of targeting Hamas the next stage is to order all Palestinians in Gaza out of Gaza to other countries and last have settlers moved in!

I don’t think the citizens of the world are allowing it. Everyone is saying ceasefire. We have no power. The leaders of the world have failed these children.

So well put. The people of Ghaza are of “ immense power and great dignity” and they will liberate all of us from western colonialism and imperialist projects. Just wish they did not have to go through this tremendous suffering to do it. Much respect for all Palestinians and for the doctor.

I would want so much to ask Dr Abu Sittah how HE copes with the PTSD? Surely he has depression and nightmares? I would love to know about his family especially his wife who must herself have such immense strength to deal with his being away in war zones while she manages the family. More about how he was brought up; his parents. And whether he felt a difference in culture when he went to places like Iraq and Yemen when it came to dealing with patients in intense war situations.

I’m taking Arabic from a guy from Damascus and he said that even they’re still in survival mode; they’re so focused on getting through life that they can’t really process the trauma that they’ve witnessed.

"Do you see yourself as a hero?" What kind of a question is that ? What is he supposed to answer? "Yes, I do...I became a doctor to fulfill my dream of being a megalomaniac" Not convinced about the questions asked by the interviewer

You are a) wrong (75 years of brutal colonial occupation) and b) evil for trying to downplay genocide and the mass murder and maiming of thousands and thousands of children.
